Almost every hood had an artist. Fillmore, HP, Lakeview, Sunnydale, 3rd Street.....Shit was poppin off real lovely. We used to be able to do shows at the On Broadway or The Stone....
Dope years for Bay Area and Music fo sho. The game wasnt so fucking saturated back then. Everyone wasnt jumpin on the bandwagon or at least fools had to put in some work before they droped their LP or Compilation.
Still Compilations and saturation killed that momentum

I hear you but all dudes that be on 3rd Street are not from HP. Hunters Point is in the hills my friend. Middle Point, Harbor Road and all that. 3rd Street is more like Bayview and includes other hoods.

THA GAMBLAZ ACTUALLY MADE THIER FIRST APEARANCE ON JT THE BIGGA FIGGA'S "OPERATION TAKEOVER" COMPILATION IN 1996. THEY WERE ON A COUPLE OF TRACKS. NEXT UP WAS WEST COAST BAD BOYZ 2. THAT WAS BACK WHEN SKY BALLA WAS A MEMBER OF THE GAMBLAZ.
