lets not make this another thread where we all talk about how much we don't or do like the fed cd....

10,000 is a LOT of records for a bay artist to do in a week. Most bay cd's dont sell that ever....i dont think the big releases usually do much more than 30 anymore

True but at the same time bay artist are idependant which means they are gettin more money. 10000 on a major is like selling 1000 on a independant level!! So in reality 10000 is not a lot of units from a Major label point of view

I doubt if they did anything more then 2500...and that is Nationaly! To bad that those guys from Alabama that live in Sacramento couldn't get the Bay back on the map LOL...They should have just went the indi route and put the album out when Hyphee was the hottest song in the Bay...not a YEAR later.

yeah how can u really compare the Federation sales to Guerilla Black, that's not even fair, Guerilla Black been on a gang of mixtapes, he got ads all over the place, he got his video in rotation on probably the biggest urban countdown show 106 & Park, he has Beenie Man on his single, etc etc etc..... it aint fair to compare that, u can just tell they put more into his shit than they did into the Feds, Feds will do good on a Bay Area level of course and I wish them all the best, but if the label don't back them properly, everybody loses
