I played it. I'm a tony hawk fan but i have to admit i cant wait to play the full version of EA skate. the Graphics look hella clean even on a SDTV. I like how the controls are set up. Skate is more of a realistic game than Tony Hawk but both are cool.

I was a huge TH fan but I stopped liking the series after 4. The whole underground and other bs had shitty graphics and was to unrealistic. Played the demo for SKATE and I was lovin' it.

heyy for u that have played project 8, is this better? explain..
i wanna pick this up but i have Project 8 alrdy (im not going to be picking up the new tony hawk game coming out in a week or two..)
If its better ill pick it up but if its like just a tad better, or like.. some things are better but some things are bad tell me ur honest opinion no wattered down bullshit.. 70$ is expensive and i cant rent games for like a month as im vacationing and dont have my 360 on me.

im skeptical as skate got 7/10 and project 8 got a 8/10

i like sk8in games but i dont feel the need to have more than one, if i pick it up ill prolly end up selling project 8 soon after playing skate.

project 8 aint shit compared to skate to be honest... skate is realistic tony hawk games aint at all. you'll spend like a hour tryin to do a trick for a photo shoot just tryna get it right. project 8 you just do some crazy off the wall shit that would never actually happen like ollie'in 20 feet to grind the top of a building to do some quad kick flip onto a power line or some shit. skate shits all over anything tony hawk

you cant compare skate and tony hawk anymore...skate is in its own category now

its like comparing nba live to nba street...sure they are both basketball but they have way different gameplay. one is more realistic and one is fake. some people like fake games,i like more realistic games so i prefer games like skate

played it today, just the demo tho. so far its pretty clean. might pick it up im not into skateboarding so im not really tryin to dump the chips on it.

ok sounds good, ya i actually was looking for a more realistic skating game by the looks of the commercials and trailers all i thought was.. ooh pretty graphics.
And gamespot gave skate a 7.0 and i tend to rely on gamespot more than any gaming site, and i have for over 5 years and that site never dissapoints me, but thats me. and skate getting a 9 sounds abit rediculous to me, i havent heard things bioshock worthy of skate i do hear good things but i thought 9 was supposed to mean superb. imo halo 3 is 9 quality if that.

well i like skate more than halo and bioshock so it goes to show that its all a matter of preference...thats why you cant trust just one source
