They do sound a lil east coast to me too...but it's not based on good lyrics it's mostly the beat selection and how they emphasize they words...most west cost rappers pronounce "here" the way its spelled but nio and erk pronounce it like "hea" (like dey do on the east coast)...west coast has always had more up tempo high energy type music (not necessarily hyphy soundin), and tha east coast is more known for the laid back type of feel
lol not everybody out here talks with that exaggerated Heeer , Coar, Moark, Hoard, stuff. The bay is different than LA, it's always had more of an east coast feel with lots of east coast transplants.

true but the native cali bay folks have a lil of that hard r sound too. its a cali sound. and actually most of us have it not as pronounced as others when I went back east they heard it and I be laughin at dudes here on the left coast that sound like o-dog from menace but if you was born here you got it a lil.
