if i ever met nas, jay, ti, or pac i would punch them in the adams apple. i would get waynes autograph cuz im a ex wayne stan...then i would punch him in the nose so he would stop doing crack and maybe his rapping would get better again. but look at Deadlypotatos post, i actually didnt say i thought u were a stan. we all are somewhat stannish for posting in the forum...but yea.
So you dont like Ti, Pac, Nas or Jay-z.......lol stick to the horrorcore buddy

THIS IS WHAT SOME GUY ASKED ON ALLHIPHOP

I don't follow Tech N9ne sorry. But okay he's been touring world wide for the last 6 years. Thats one person. You can't possibly extrapolate that to the other 1000+ artists.

Secondly, I think that niggas a rolling stone. Who tours for 6 years straight? He probably can't afford to come home.

Lastly, I wanted some kind of figure, a rough estimate of how much people make at shows. How many venues does Tech N9ne sell out? On average how much do his tickets cost etc.

Tech N9ne is a bad example. He's been in the game for sometime now, thanks to his fanbase or perhaps just knowing the independent game, either way he's obviously established to some degree. I'm more concerned with new artists that aren't established yet. i.e. loyal fanbases, years etc.

oh and Tech N9ne is wack.

MY RESPONSE IS BELOW

I already gave this guy my response over there, I just want to see what you guys have to say. By the way my username is eeee on that forum.

Just figured I would clear up any confusion

most people dont know that the majority of money an artist will make is from touring.

yeah like red head steve and necro.

lynch(old),esham, and gordy own that horrocore shit
i hate necro. i'd say Lynch, old esham, and gordy. they def running the shit.
ok i can see you not like nas, jay, or ti, but why pac?

i know everyones not gonna like him, and some say he is over rated
but he put very much emotion and passion into his music and was very smart
he was a respectable man, you don't have to like his music but please respect the man as he would you if he was here

but its your life who am i to tell you what to do and not to do. you might have your reasons for not likening him and thats cool, but are they good reasons to want to punch a man in the Adams apple?
if you don't mind could you tell me what you don't like about him?
why can i not like the living people but just since pac is dead i have to like him? he has some dope songs, but hes the most overrated rapper ever.

I think Biggie and Jay-z own the most overrated rapper title. You can throw lil wayne in there too I guess. Big L and Big Pun were better MC's than pac and Big in my opinion.

i never said respect him cause hes dead, im saying respect him as a person as if he was here today.. and the reason i say i can see you not likening jay, nas, or ti
is because i don't care for them, not because there alive but because i don't feel there music, but i do give them props as they do contribute allot to hip hop...and i don't wanna punch them in the Adams apple except for maybe jay z
at times

no pac wasn't the best with punchlines and freestyles, but his lyrics were good they had good intentions in them, unless someone mad him mad then he would tear em apart
thats one of the reasons i would put him in the legends list, cause he had like a martin Luther king side to him, and wanted the world to be a better place and talked about problems in our society, wasn't always talking bout cars, hoes, n what not

I guess its all how you grow up and are livin.

I can bump 2pac all day and its still relivant to my life. Fuck listenin to some

"All the stories I'm livin. Paintin portraits of me being hanged
and tortured by midgets. Am I worth the minion?
Life of a skitzo"--King Gordy

That shit is childish to me and just plain out fucking emo and depressed ass shit.

You aint no damn skitzo you would be killin people not sittin in your car depressed cuz your mom and dad aint home they're on business so your thinking about killin people and shit ya crazy fuck.

Id rather bump any 2pac anyday than that shit...

Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares
one less hungry mouth on the welfare
First ship 'em dope & let 'em deal the brothers
give 'em guns step back watch 'em kill each other
It's time to fight back that's what Huey said
2 shots in the dark now Huey's dead
I got love for my brother but we can never go nowhere
unless we share with each other
We gotta start makin' changes
learn to see me as a brother instead of 2 distant strangers
and that's how it's supposed to be
How can the Devil take a brother if he's close to me?
I'd love to go back to when we played as kids
but things changed, and that's the way it is

you cant hate on gordy though man!
"...you on the other hand will never touch a hundred grand
you roll just to smoke and keep your little hoopty running man
me on the other hand, in tryna run outta rubber bands
my shit is aching from counting, i gotta rub my hands

im tryna get it how i live
i aint tryna spend it or give it until i am sitting on a mil
vacationing with beautiful women all i see is hills
from my hotel room we are getting money for real
tryna bleed the block dry until my pockets are filled
over with hundreds and hundreds of hundred dollar bills"

It's not a rappers job to help society. It's their job to rap and entertain. No different than a actor's job to act. If a rapper decides he wants to be conscious and do something to uplift his community than props to him. Just don't look down on another cat because he chooses not to. Everybody can't lead, it's impossible. Some lead, some follow, and some just do their own thing.

People love watching(movies) violence, blood, and gore. So naturally a lot of people would like listening(music) to artist that rap about those things. I can listen to a track like return of the baby killer right after listening to a song like down to the river(baptism). It's all entertainment to me, I don't try to live the life of artist I listen to.

King Gordy is a gifted emcee, so I don't know why you're dissing him.

Aww hell, I'll defend Jay-Z. That dude has mad talent, but he should have stayed retired. He left as the best rapper alive (IMO), but his two albums since he has come back are not that good. But his early shit cannot be beat. He slipped for a few years, but I think the Blueprint albums are some of the best work he did.

Now, NaS is okay, but I have never liked him that much. I will give him props, tho. T.I. is not that good to me. There's something about him I don't care for. But to each their own.
