To me oversee's ain't shit if you don't run yo own city.

"It's nice Sacramento has something for it's local artists but it really gives them a false sense of self worth when they really haven't accomplished anything"
With that being said... the Sammies does mean something if WE make it mean something! I heard people complain it's a a popularity contest, it's for the back pack rappers, it's a a false sense of an acomplishmnet, etc. BUT FUCK ALL THAT... IT'S SACRAMENTO! If it has my city's name in it... I want to be apart of it. How can I dominate it... hmmmm, find out who runs it and make sure they know what the fuck i do for this city.

I'm happy that everyone wants to bow out of this event becuz it just gives me more room to make a point. One way or another my voice will be heard. if I can show up to these shows with the "supposed" real niggas out here doing it... how come I cant go to what some in the city want to be the biggest event showcasing Sac talent and make sure the voice of the "STREET/GANGSTA" rappers get heard. If ya'll aint with me on making the presence felt... well I'll go ahead and show up with the deepest crew I can gather and make sure they (SNR/ SAMMIES) know that if a nickel bag gets sold in this city I want in!

Backpack rappers dont have to come to my shows... I got to theirs! I'ma make em Respect sumtin round here!

wtf does felonies have to do w music??

while you fighting cases that you brought on yourself, thus limiting your ability to travel, everyone else is tryin to make the scene pop in AND out of town.

you fukn condridict yourself when you say you aint shit when you aint recognized in your city, yet clownin on gettin a SAMMIE.

if roles were reversed and YOU were nominated, you would be goin hard tryin to get that recognition. true, that SAMMIE doesnt meant SHIT if you dont use it to your advantage, but that is definately something for the resume

id much rather have toured overseas, made money off of video games(what's your publishing company/management doin to get the skrillz brand out there?), CDs, merch, and continue to do so instead of hangin out on the patio of the distillery blowin kush.

cmon mane, everything you sayin' and the way you sayin it is exactly what prevents sac artists from supportin' each other.

shit, ask chuck T about em, ask NPIRE the Great, ask Lynch, Crazy Baldhead, SoulCLap, ETRAIN, EPIK, BLOE, BLEE...ask anyone about the CUF, and they gonna tell you they are legends here in sac, who will always be mentioned when they are talkin about hiphop in Sacramento.....did anyone call you to participate in the article?? what's you legacy/contribution to the scene in Sacramento?

Legal shit ain't got to do nutin with this game, it ain't even evidence that I really live the shit I'm kickin. I'm just saying the only reason your annonamous ass would see me in an off brand club is cuz I'm laying low. & I'm still all over, In reno opening for Majors & Jack, In AZ performing wit F.A.B, Bakersfield wit JT, at the Cow Palace opening for Snoop, all the Mac Dre day Festvals. Whn I step on stage & holler "E-Ma" the whole croud yell back "SHEYMAGO"
I ain't say u ain't shit if you ain't recognized in your city, look at Baby bash, He sell out everywhere but he ain't get hardly any love in Vallejo. I said it don't mean shit to me! & I ain't say the SAMMIES ain't shit, that was The head Grammy's rep for Sacramento, the largest & most respected award show in this industry. The Sammies is cool if you can make it work for you, but so many local artist, & key word being LOCAL, spend so much effert trying to get in that mag & get nominated & that don't equate to SALES, The fans don't read the S&R. A well known producer in this city who I consider my folks is nominated for producer of the year & is in that mag damn near every month & his album has only sold $37.48 in 3 months. If I was nominated it would be just a small notch on my belt. If I walked into a distributer meeting, either Koch or City Hall, & told them I won a Sammie they would give me a blank stare & say what's that? As far as I can see Sac artists fuck wit each other real tough. Up n coming cats say that cuz the tycoons in this City (Bo, Lynch, Luni, ect.. won't work for cheap wit offbrand, wanna-be, myspace, text-message rappers who never had or will have a deal.

My Contributions, Ha Ha. I've made the scene pop just as much as anybody. lot of New Sac artists & producers first time they was on a nationally distributed album was one of my projects. I taught alot of cats out here the business side of the game. Some of these boys was rappin more than 5 years & didn't know what a one-sheet was. My squad got me eatin I released 4 commercial albums as a artist(3 of which distributed worldwide), & my company has released 8 seperate projects digitally with IODA, the nations #1 online content provider. We soundscanned more then 20,000 units & sold over 11,000 downloads. I been on tour in Europe for 24 days(Paris-Milan-Munich-Amsterdam). & as far as legends go... If you ain't dead or retired u just a Has-Been. Lynch is a Livin Legend, He still a factor & still relevant. & ax ANYBODY, I put in more time & werk in than almost anyone in our city Beleive Dat

I dont know if what I'm gonna say is going to offend anybody and if you know me you know you know what it is. Sacramento does not need this shit. We dont need rappers of WHATEVER subculture separating unity. We all rep Sac. Nobody's gonna rep this city the exact same because nobodys the exact same person. For instance, I notice ppl are starting to connect Doey Rock to the backpacker scene. But that nigga aint no chump tho. He aint gonna take yo shit because niggas say he in the backpacker scene.

What a lot of niggas dont realize is that when the Bay was crackin nationally it wasnt just Spice 1, E-40, Richie Rich, but Hiero too. This hip-hop is gonna be represented in different ways. So if Sac got a "backpacker" scene AND a "gangsta rap" scene more power to all of us. Connect the two scenes and see if we can create our own movement. Cause the truth of the matter is the Bay only wanna claim us when somebody do something big they can latch onto (like Bueno's video on worldstar saying it's Bay Area. C-Bo, Lynch being considered Bay Area nationally) But if the Bay cracks (i.e. the hyphy movement) they'll act like we aint got nothing to do with it. We on our own out here. Aint nobody gone put Sac on but Sac. It's how it's always been, how it always will be) I'm not talking shit just keepin it 100 because I want to see my city win. I got major love for the Bay and I get love when I go out there but it's kinda like New York and New Jersey if you get the analogy.

Sac got a rich music history. Another thing that article didnt talk about is how artists out of Sac (that didnt make hip-hop) had major impact on hip-hop. Some ppl dont know Jay King (from Timex Social Club and Club Nouveau) is from Sac. The Luniz 5 On It songs samples his shit. A Sac niggas music. Why you treat me so bad, Rumors, and hella others songs of his got sampled by anybody from The Luniz to Puff to Britney Spears. So when they wanna sample them songs who gets breaded out? A SACRAMENTO ARTIST FROM DEL PASO HEIGHTS. Something all of us should think about. The Possibilities Of Continued Grindin..... SAC UNITY OR NOTHING: THE MOVEMENT!! lol

believe me dubb, i aint knockin no ones hustle, im just tired of the seperation.

ive seen this scene grow from a few of us, to so many of us, that shows are poppin all over showcasing all types of flavors. THATS what i want to see. more unity PERIOD.

maybe i took this a little more personally because CUF is my dudes for 15years+ and I know how hard they work to get what they have. I respect dude, I see skrillz out there, shit I even blazed with him at the distillery a few times, and copped his double disc when it first dropped. I was just surprised by the comments. with all the conversation, i see where hes comin from, just like when me and mally mall chopped it up over the phone.

hustlematic, dubb, floss, cway, i see em all out there doin their thing for YEARS, shit even doey when he was john doe....he's BEEN doin' it. now IMO, its time for us to do it together. we have more then enough talent, resources, and fans between us to where we cant all do something FAT. If Sac had a unified front where we all fucked with eachother real tuff like the South, it'd be a WRAP.

if we formed a conglamerate where we all met on a regular basis to network, open dialogue, and build relationships, it'd be so beneficial. no more misunderstandings or misconceptions about each other because we'd chopp it up on the spot. we could put together a tour of Sac artists, and get out there. people are starvin for that shit that only sacramento makes. look how long its been since lynch, bo and raided 1st came out, and look how many MILLIONS of people WORLDWIDE knock that shit to this day. i was on a turkish hiphop blogsite, and they had BP & Bueno available for download....TURKEY?? thats crazy!

im gonna go ahead and apologize if i came off like an asshole earlier, i just think our city has too much talent for us to be seperating ourselves thru genres, and not fuckin w eachother because of it.

Im tired of the separation too, but if mufuckaz separate themselves then how is that for unity? Listen to Hustlemac, he's speaking the real!! Matter of fact we all need to do a song an anthem type thing for sac like a long as 15 min. song, artists have to come wit it, if theres any producers that want to do the beat then come wit it, SLAPP THO!! "THROBBIN' MOB SHIT!!" That's the name of the song, EVERYBODY WILL PUT IT ON THEIR ALBUMS/MIXTAPES WHATEVER AND IF WE ALL HAVE TO BE AT 1 STUDIO, THEN LETS DO IT. LET ME KNOW, IM READY NOW!! IF I GOTTA DO IT BY MYSELF, I WILL AND WILL HANDPICK THE ARTISTS LIKE I DID MY FIRST RYDERS+BOSSES ALBUM. IM DOIN' PART 2 SO WHAT IT DO? IM ALSO PUTTING TOGETHER A MUSIC GROUP TOO. MORE DETAILS WHEN Y'ALL HOLLA BACK!! WHO'S WIT ME?
