Master P was never tight I'm sorry. I feel dum for buying any of his albums. All he had was tight beats, he would really say the stupidest shit in like every song he did. I kick myself for every good Tape i passed over to buy another No Limit album only a few of them were worth the tape or CD they were printed on

ok, slow down. all of the aforementioned are tight, but krs, pac, and rakim are the only ones you can say changed rap in anyway. EVERYTHING ive ever heard biggie or jay spit about i've heard cats like 40, UGK and short say upwards of 5 to 10 years before them. and jay aint biggin up nobody when he uses these lesser known lines from slick rick, big, and big daddy kane, he's rippin cats off. people have been givin jay credit for wordplay for far too long when some of the most clever lines hes ever spit werent his own. most cats that buy jigga music fall between 18-24. these cats dont know shit about slick rick, rakim, or anybody like that. he's biting. straight up. not "biggin up his brother, biggin up his burrough" like he likes to put it. with all that, i like his delivery. hes a very talented rapper.

EXCEPT ODB and Big L.

oh and fuck anyone dissing cash moneys legacy.

if you havent listened to the albums cash money put out in that time and youre going off of the singles you heard, fuck your opinion straight up

BGs albums, lil waynes albums, juveniles 400 degreez, big tymers i got work = all good albums

i used to hate cash money till i humbled myself enough to listen to an album and found out that they put out quality music..some of you should try to do the same..

id say the most overrated is jayz and tupac.

how can somebody honestly say Mac Dre (RIP) is overrated? who the fuck are you, he is barely recognized outside the cali region/bay area so how can he be overrated? when Mac Dre has 20 million people calling him the greatest rapper ever and he is all over MTV and BET and fuck it even Nickelodeon, you might be able to say he is overrated. but when your basis on him being "overrated" is by what u read here or what people say that have grown up listening to the macs music since the early 90s and people in the bay and nor cal then you are fucking retarded! there is a difference between having underground regional love and being mainstream overrated you fuck!

Yeeeah. Cash Money is -not- overrated. There shit stands the test of time, dang near 10 years since that stuff dropped. I was just listening to 400 degrees this morning. Manny Fresh's beats are crazy good, and when they came out, they were real original/futuristic. He also is a funny dude, and so when he gets on the mic or makes skits, its not all bad (bitin'-ass jazzy pha, take note)...

Most overrated rappers, in no order: (just my opinion)

3-6 Mafia (um, yeah, the beats are slappin, and I like some of the songs, but I just cant get down unless i'm too faded to understand what the lyrics are, cuz to me they're stupid. (and not stupid-good))

Eminem (he says some clever shit, and some songs are pretty nice, but only a handful of his tracks have any repeat value, to me he's a great guest appearance, thats it. I cant handle listening to two emimem songs in a row)

Ludacris (see eminem)

Game (I fail to see whats so great about this guy)

Tony Yayo (my friend dragged me to this concert and then was getting worried we were gonna get jumped or something cuz I was clowning him so hard when he was on stage, he even said in one of his lyrics that he's the 'best rapper alive'...Bwaaah, hah, hah, hah.)

the only reason i cant say 3-6 mafia is overrated is because i got into their earlier shit. smoked out locced out, live by yo rep, all that old 3-6 mafia that was hella creepy sounding and mastered ghetto, back when lord infamous had the stick in his nose. all that shit was classic to me because it was so ghetto, id be getting faded to it or whatever and theyve earned sentimental value. then the tear the club up days on to sippin on syrup to now, i see 3-6 mafia as a group finally getting their just due, sort of like when common went gold or when the roots started blowing up.

okay for the next people i say are overrated, ive heard and might just be a fan of all their music. so dont ask me "have you heard..?"

-micheal 5000 watts is overrated 'cuz he dont do shit.
-NY mixtape rappers are overrated by their own city, saigon papoose murda mook red cafe etc etc
-All previous roc a' fella artists besides freeway (hes dope) are overrated
-DJ premier is overrated, because beyond doobie ashtray for devin the dude all his beats have been sounding the same
-dr dre has become overrated TO ME (yeah, i said it.) but i'll wait till the detox, he might possibly be a musical god of some sort and im tripping.
-lupe fiasco is overrated, plus he sucks
-pharrel williams is also overrated, shout out to chad tho
-andre 3000 is overrated and i honestly believe he fell the fuck off and is attempting to hide it with doing something new

nate dogg? overrated.
sorry. west coast had to catch one.

shit while im at it, droop-E (e-40's son) is overrated.
lol
i really shouldnt have said that...but fuck it.

PS: PITBULL, YOU SUCK! I CAN TOLERATE JIBBS AND FRANCHIZE BOYS BUT YOU!!! STFU!!!

The most over rated to me is 50 cent then TI, lloyd banks, fat joe. I keep hearing people say Tupac is overated. i don't care what ability they have a lot of cats go hard on mixtapes that i get for free then the CD that i pay almost an hour of work for stinks. So you can't say jeezy is overated becuase is album is fire true he's not a MC he's a rapper but you can almost let Jeezy's CD ride. Tupac is the G.O.A.T. point blank period. I don't care what freestyle's you heard these other cats spit or mixtapes you heard; the whole point of rapping is to make good songs for the people and Tupac was the best at it.

I don't know how many people here would say that Notorious B.I.G., Tupac or Mac Dre were 'underrated' when they were alive, and the fact that their fan bases multiplied exponentially upon their deaths suggests that, technically speaking, they are overrated, regardless of how good they were.

I never used to like Cash Money - still don't like it now, but I didn't like it back then either. Most overrated? Jeez, tough one. A lot of the rappers who's style I don't feel don't have a big enough fan base to be considered 'overrated'.

Overrated: I'd have to say Jay Z and 50 Cent (Heaps of kids over here think his lyrics are tight, BAH!).

People exempt from being considered overrated: E-40, Snoop, KRS One, Rakim, Method Man, Public Enemy. They all helped develop rap and, atleast at one stage in their careers, were true rap Gods. I don't think anyone can take that away from them.

You must be 16. No 'Makaveli' album can compare to Strictly 4 my N.I.G.G.A.Z. or All Eyes on Me. Most of the tracks released after Tupacs death were witheld from being released because he didn't consider them good enough to include on his albums in the first place.

I clearly stated Makeveli the 7 day theory which is the first makeveli that pac DID want to release with tracks like me & my girlfriend, against all odds, bomb first etc. only argument is that All Eyes On Me compares but it is not equal to Makaveli every thing else out your mouth was bull.- I'm a grown ass man dawg and how can you say jay-z aint lyrical. I agree he has fallen off as of late and should stay retired but up through the Black album (exclude blueprint2) he was spittin.
