I don't think theres anything wrong with being a proud white ( or proud anything for that matter). Having a feeling of pride & belonging and understanding about the group of people in your racial background is perfectly fine...........I think the line is drawn is when the pride for own race causes you to despise other races.....We were all made equal....now weither or not it ended up that way is a different story......but theres nothing wrong with having pride for your race, people or culture..so long as we can all remember that in the end were just people...ya know

just let everyone be proud of themselves and respect that if YOU can be proud of yourself then SOMEONE ELSE can be proud of himself/herself

How could people be proud of being white?
White= Not minority
White is not a race, to me it just means NOT black, mexican, asian, middle-eastern, etc.,
Be proud of being Italian, Irish, Jewish (LOL), but why be proud of being white? I really don't get it.

well let's see...i'm german, and my grandparents were major fuckin nazis...so if i choose to be proud of my whiteness rather than my nazi past, do you have a problem with that?
you can be proud of whatever you are (that you want to be proud of)...by your judgment, black power or black pride is meaningless and ignorant because it's the color you are not where you come from.
just because you're not part of a minority doesnt mean you cant be proud. and your comment about white not being a race because it just means NOT black, mexican, asian, etc etc is one of the least intelligent things i could have expected to encounter when coming to a forum called "gathering of the minds"...maybe it's just that whole in-group out-group deal like in high school (jocks identify themselves as being particularly "not stoner" and vice versa)...the only race there is is the human race. there's not a single person on this earth who is "pure"

what does this have to do with being proud? ALl I read was a lot of ignorance and bullshit. Does the dumb fuck who wrote that know why so many of those supposedly minority only (even though most of them are open to all, just the majority of their staff and constituents are -insert target race here-) institutions/companies are minority only? Does he/she know why they believe that blacks go around just indiscriminately hurting and maiming white people, and all the police brutality is only to black criminals? Does he/she know why he/she unproportionately directs much of his/hers anger towards blacks (even though this letter is seeks to indict ALL "priviliged" minorities)? I think it's entertaining to talk about the differences in culture but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed and once it's crossed you're discriminating.
