Only 9% of Mexicans are not indigenous...and 99% call themselves Hispanic or Latino...that's confusion...

In Mexico they also speak Nahuatl, Mayan, Yoeme, etc.

The point is, they group us with a country (Spain) that is 100% white, when we are not even close. We are roughly 90% indigenous and mixed indigenous. Any Mexican that ain't 100% Spanish calling himself a Hispanic or Latino is ignorant.

Mexico - National Language = Spanish

You're just going by your own definition of what Hispanic means man. I've been to Spain and they have their own ethnic groups including our own people from Latin America, so its not 100% "white". I'm a 'mestizo' and i can trace my roots back to Latin-America as well as Europe, and i was born in Cali...So im American first but why wouldn't i call myself Hispanic? Like i said... You can call yourself a Native Mexican if you have that big of a problem with the term hispanic and latino, it's just comin off like you got somethin against non-indigenous people being categorized with the indigenous.

No, they're not 100% white, because they have several different groups mixed with them. But they consider themselves to be white.

I don't have anything against non-indigenous, but I do have something against indigenous people who think they're white.

Hispanic is NOT from the word "Espanol" as you said. It comes from the name of the country that the Spanish come from. I ain't Spanish, so why do I have to take that label? If you want to take it, be my guest, but why does that have to be our label as a people when we are WAY more indigenous than Latin? The Latin was raped into us, just how blacks have white slave-owners raped into them. I ain't going to be walking around all happy talkin about "Latino pride" when my ancestors were raped, murdered, and dehumanized by these fuckers.

Even if 'Hispanic' did come from the word Español, you realize that word came from the word España itself right? A lot of the native culture has been lost and theres not even a lot of pure natives anymore, spanish influence has dominated latinamerica, all of it...thats why they're labeled the way they are... the majority being of mixed descent. And you can't generalize, not everyones ancestors were raped. It's not so complicated. You're taking the word too literally. It doesn't detemine your ethnicity, it JUST means you're family came from a Spanish speaking country. Thats it. Get it?

I got it a lot time ago...it looks like you still don't get it.

They call us Latino (Latin), Hispanic (Spanish), and we're neither. We might have some Spanish raped into us, but that's still less than 1/10th of the population.

Hispanic doesn't mean Spanish, you still dont get it. Mexico's population alone is 70% mestizo, how the hell does add up to 1/10th? Who is "we" anyways? Make that clear, you can't be talking about Mexicans so i'm assuming you're referring to your tribe(s) because otherwise that doesn't make sense at all.

Mexico is 60% Mestizo and 30% full indigenous, and only 9% white. Just going by those numbers and the original Spaniards who came from Europe, you can find that of that 60%, there is 3 times more indigenous blood than white blood. Lets just say we as a whole are 70% indigenous to 30% European...that's a lot more indigenous blood. Why are we not classified as "indigenous" or "nican tlaca" or "azteca" or whatever the fuck. We are classified as Hispanic, the same as those from Spain. Latino should be people from Spain, Italy, Portugal, etc...the REAL Latins.

I've known this shit for years, but here is the story from a REAL LATIN point of view. I had a teacher in high school; a very smart man. He was from Portugal and moved here as a kid. He would talk about how the Mexicans and every other "Latin American" country call themselves Latino and Hispanic, because that is the race of our conquerers. He would say, "Mexicans are not Latino. I am Latino." He had a fuckin good point.

Do you think people in Spain consider you their people? FUCK NO THEY DON'T. You're just another Indio to them.
