Now, I'm kind of new to the siccness, so I'm not sure if this belongs in the open forum or not. I'm curious if there are any white ghost writers out there. A few years back, we would all get drunk and rap over beats to the popular songs on the radio, in my boy's car that didn't have a cd player. After a while, a couple of my folks told my shit was cool, I should write it down. I started getin perked & high, writin shit down, and shit was actually not bad. This went on for a while, and I kind of let it go. I was never trying to be a rapper, let alone, ever want to BE a rapper. I have/am living with a lot of the rap lifestyle elements, but it's not for me. The other day, a close friend of mine was back here visiting from Guam, and he reminded me of the raps I used to write down. So after some searching, I found some of them, and he started rapping a couple verses. The next day, we got shit faced since he was leaving, and I started writing some more shit down. His neighbor started rapping it, and the shit sounded cool, but being drunk, your opinion isn't always solid. Last night, I stopped by his neighbors house, and had him spit again. The shit STILL sounds cool! I guess my question is, are there any white ghost writers? And if I'm starting to get interested in where I can go with this, does anyone have any suggestions on where I should start? I know this is out there, but it seems worthy of asking some advice on...any thoughts, experiences, ideas, or even clowning would be appreciated. Maybe I need to be brought back down to reality, or maybe not.

Shit, don't matter if you're purple, if the lyrics are dope, then they're dope. Plus, you'd be ghostwriting right ? Meaning, that it would be discreet...

Go for it..

cheapest way to get rights is to mail it to yourself certified mail
I actually looked into that a year or so back, it's called a poor man's patent. We were thinking about starting up a T-shirt biz, but it the poor man's pattent is a myth. Even if you mail it certified, & have it notorized, it doesn't hold up in court. They common argument it that you can mail any letter, certified to yourself through the mail, that isn't sealed, and enclosed whatever you want inside at any time. The other hole, is that if it's notorized, and you find the person who did the notary for you, that you can have any document notorized, and add something to it at a later date. Both of these reasons make it totally admissable in court.

The publishing idea sounds interesting, if that's the only way to go about it.
