what numbers do record labels artist hit for sales on average im wonderin'? how much does say jt sale on a release? quinn? mob figaz? i heard lynch and all them be doin like 400,000 plus..is that tru? anybody got numbers post'em here

if 500,000 is gold and 100,000 is ghetto gold, then 50,000 should be bay gold.

DOnt underestimate bay artists...just because soundscan does not dickride us dosent mean we push units....independantly sold albums with a good distrubution spells gold for artists like e-40.....spice 1, c-bo, the click, richie rich, the luniz,rappin 4 tay, and too short....the bay has pushed a lot of units the past 10 years, yall better acknowledge that one fa sho!

If I missed someone forgive me. Now artists that got close are RBL Posse (320K Ss), Rappin' 4Tay (280 Ss), C-Bo (280K Ss), Brotha Lynch Hung (GOLD combined on Season's releases but can't get certified due to different barcodes), Mac Mall (250K Ss). SoundScan is not 100% accurate so you can 30% to these titles in the early 90's because Ss was new.

No one else has come close in the last four or five years except E-40 with Charlie Hustle and Too Short with Cant Stay Away I believe. You got to give it to Master P though, alot of Bay cats got GOLD plaques because of West Coast Bad Boyz II. RBL, Celllski, Luni Coleone, 11/5, JT The Bigga Figga, Mac Dre etc. Shit I got one because I was Taydatay's manager.

Remember, RIAA doesn't use SoundScan to certify GOLD + PLATINUM albums they use shipping figures from distributors.
