So a few months ago I had to have some surgery done. They made me get blood tests a few times and shit. Anyhow what do they test for? Do they check like platelet count and shit? check for signs of illnesses or diseases?

They never told me anything about it so I'm guessing I'm cool. This was a few months back. I guess I'm one of those people that are always tripping about having something. It all stems from a like 2 years ago I found a lump on my left nutt where the spermadic cords connect to the testicle. So much shit went through my head, just had my son. Went to the docs and it was some epiditmitus or some shit, not cancer thankfully. Since then I've always over thought shit.

most likely they did whats called a chem7...just routine blood work...basically checking your electrolytes (mainly potassium and sodium), calcium, mg, po4...prolly checked your rbc count, platelets, hemoglobin (iron) hematocrit...basically making sure everything is within normal limits...i wouldn't think they're checking for any diseases...maybe your white blood cell count to see if you have an infection...i wouldn't worry about it though, unless something comes up...

I WORK AT A HOSPITAL LAB, MOST TESTS THEY RUN ARE THINGS LIKE CBC'S (COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT) METABOLIC PANELS (SUGARS, SODIUMS) LIPIDS (CHOLESTEROL), URINE TESTS THAT CHECK FOR BACTERIA AND INFECTIONS, BUT THERE ARE A BILLION TESTS FOR MORE SPECIFIC THINGS, IF THERE WERE ANYTHING WRONG YOUR DOCTOR WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND HE WOULD HAVE GOT A HOLD OF YOU

CHEM7 IS CALLED A BMP NOW AND THE WBC, AND RBC ARE INCLUDED, THE K AND PLT, ARE PART OF THE CBC.
