alot of west coast rap in the 90s had whole albums with back to back slaps.these days it rare to find a new album with 5 slappin songs on it.lucky if you find a album that dont make you mad after you hear it.depressed and shit feelin like rap is really dead.

i think a lot of artists are indulgent in doing what they like to hear or covering up their insecurities. like if a rapper wants to portray himself as gangsta or a drug dealer the whole album will be about selling dope. So they don't give other topics a chance because the main idea or their main purpose is to portray that image.

an album that is classic front to back is
K'naan-Troubadour

I got 2 copies still. One is hella fucked up though.

That shit is heat. End Game is one of the best songs, but they're all slaps, altho I don't like one verse on #14 hahahaha.

That "Legal or Illegal" remix, #6....SLUMPS if you got beats. No joke. When I had a system in my old car it fuckin pounded....

element of surprise is a masterpeice
masterpiece i dunno but i did like that album and E-40 isn't my favorite rapper.

i hope i dont' go back was the CUT.

i think that's his weakest album...

But I think it's the people around artists kissing their ass all the time that allows artists to put out weak shit without them knowing how weak it is.
wackness breeding wackness.

if you have people around you who ride balls and aren't honest and tell you that wack shit is dope shit then you are FUCKED.

that is why I am ALWAYS honest with the cats i know who do music. I straight up tell them EXACTLY what and why I don't like certains songs etc.

Most of the time my opinion is given a chance cause the cats I know, know I'm not full of shit and I ain't afraid to speak up....

In all honesty mad rappers out here get blinded by the money and let the money dictate what there music is. They put money over music which is a sell out if you ask me personally.

peep situation 1:
There got 20 joints recorded. 5 songs "if that" is what they feel is "the hit" and the rest of them are filler joints. so they will take around 3 of the hit joints blend it with 10 fillers so they have an album. Then they will take the remaining 5 filler joints plus those 2 hits and add about 3 freestyles and intro/outro to make the mixtape (just to cake up, get gauc, whateva term you fuckin what to use).

Cats need to realize it aint all about the money, because when they think just that, there art lacks. strait up point blank

2pac - All eyes on me. That knocks all the way through.

I don't feel me against the world and makaveli does that
it just depends on the mood, when i was younger i thought all eyes on me was the greatest, then i checked out me against the world a few years later and was like DAMN this is a classic, then i checked out makaveli when i was in my old war revolutionary ready to die stage and it slapped all the way thru because of what he was sayin, i feel u on he beats tho they didnt all knock like all eyes on me, i think thats his best, but they were all classics at least to me

this information is also dependent upon what you're smokin or drinkin at the time of listening lol
