PRODUCER TRAXAMILLION – “FROM THE HOOD” VIDEO SHOOT
FEATURING
the JACKA, HUSALAH (MOB FIGAZ), and SAN QUINN
March 27, 2007 – (Bay Area, California)
Super Producer Traxamillion, notoriously known for production of Keak da Sneak’s “Super Hyphy (That’s My Word)”, and Brooke Hogan’s “About Us” Remix f. E40, just completed shooting the video for “From the Hood”. This single off his debut album “The Slapp Addict”, has already spilled heavily thru the streets and is set to be a smash hit into the early summer.
"From the Hood" features the elite Bay Area rappers the Jacka, San Quinn, and Husalah from the Mob Figaz. The combination of artists from different hoods and similar backgrounds serves as a blueprint to understanding the streets.
Directed by Taj Mahal of Box Fresh Productions, the video reached well across the Bay Area from the Seven Trees Village projects of Trax’s hometown, San Jose, CA, thru the streets of San Francisco’s China Town District. Shot on 35mm anamorphic film, the video is an up close visual reality of the different elements of the hoods in Northern California.
The documentary style video spans several culturally diverse hoods. The use of everyday people as cameos in the video was key in expressing the
soul of the hood. Using moving photography, stunning shots and natural light, it captures the essence of what it means to be "From the Hood". There is no glamour and glitz, just the streets and its people. Anticipation for the video has already generated over 4,000 hits for the video's trailer via YouTube in a 3-day span.
During the 2 day video shoot, many other Bay Area artists arrived to support Traxamillion including DJ Backside, DJ Vlad, JT the Bigga Figga, FedX (Mob Figaz), Cellski, Maki, the Demolition Men, Rydah J Klyde & J. Stalin.
Traxamillion is also featured in the March/April edition of Stash Magazine. The feature takes a look at his resume as a Producer, his accomplishments, and as the hottest producer in the Bay Area.
