I'm not feeling how they used hella well known samples, like stuff big bay area rappers like the mob figaz have used on popular songs already. Then he used the same exact beat as Joe Blow did on a song.

Not a good look on your first big solo, especially after all the hype.

Does anyone know what song used the same sample as the song with quinn?

nvm I found it

I noticed the same thing...

very recently used...

and of course this was originally used by...

and this...

and this...

overall the production is good... but too many samples that have been used... especially used recently by other Bay Area artists... I'd like to see more originality

The only sample I heard was the 2Pac one, but other than that I haven't really heard any of the other ones, but I tend to lean more on the concept of this album.

Outside the typical stuff, Berner touches on some personal topics. Keeping it real on real life issues that the rest of the world can relate to. Being someone who's filled those shoes, I can hear the details that probably gets past some of you who haven't been there. I can respect Berner as a man and will definitely bump this album for awhile.

^ I agree. I think he touched on more real subjects on this one... and his lyrics sound better, they flow a lot more smoothly than some of his earlier shit... I think its his best album yet. theres only one song I didnt care for on this, and it was still decent. I just dont like the fact he used other peoples beats or variations of them.. and the features were to me the worst part of the album, bunch of no name dudes I didnt like, I wish Jacka woulda been on it. otherwise its a good, solid album. my Favorite song is 'i can make you rich' with freeze, but 'Fed Hot Phone Line' and the 'no middle man' with j stalin go pretty hard too.
