I understand its hard not to pay attention, but people just need to look at it for what it is. Messy, Nicky, Quinn, etc.., they are who they are and if they choose to snort yadidi, thats their bizzness. Even if they choose to rhyme about it, thats their bizzness. People want their favorite rappers, idols, celebs to act a certain way and when that doesnt happen people go CRAZY and gossip! They're only human. Remember why you like messy, quinn , nicky, rick james, bobby brown, etc.. and like them for that and not for what they do outside of the booth. Now if i was a close friend of say, Messy or quinn, that's another story.

i feel what you sayin to an extent but at the same time jus remember if you rappin about coke in the booth then i AM going to pay attention. im not gonna judge. who am i to judge? but i am gonna hear/pay attention. thats why my original answer was very neutral but true.... not to mention some of these cats wanted the fame. THIS type of shit comes with the fame.

What an individual does is that individuals business, but "I" do believe artists have a certain responsibility when it comes to glorifying things that are detrimental to my people or people in general. It has no influence over me due to a very strong upbringing. But what some of these artists have to understand is a lot of these young folks dont have that strong foundation or upbringing so their music has great influence over them. Lets try to motivate the next black president not the next statistic?

Very true!! I forget sometimes that not everyone is strong minded and can think for themselves. Rappers do have a heavy influence on people especially the youth. But where do you suggest the line be drawn??? In this situation Focus shouldnt be put on the rappers but on the parents of those who choose to listen. Just my opinion

So when a rapper raps about pushing crack to fiends / crackheads he must be lying about it being him and rapping about the life of his dealer
