A mixtape, bootleg and compilation???

There's mixtapes out of course that feature "mainstream" beats but then I've seen other mixtapes which jus have new material on it. Like a compilation. Why isn't it called a compilation then? If they don't have the rights to use the material, that's a bootleg then? Jus wonderin if I'm wrong or if I'm missin somethin. Thanx.

a mixtape is freestylin over other beats....

a compilation is a cd with alot of features on it....

to me a bootleg is somethin out on disc that isnt out but somehow got onto cd and burned up and now a gang of folks have it.....or just a cd that already is out that got burned and sold or whatever, handed out....
