"The Mega Millions" you have better chances on winning the Mega Millions, then the "BAY" blowing back up. We had our chance twice in the last 20 years and blew the oppurtunity like we always do, due to bad business decisions. We had the "spotlight" & we couldn't keep it. Consider it gone for another 10 years at least. Just Reality (rap anyways).

Not saying that an "individual" wont blow, but as a whole region "NOT NOW, & NOT NEAR"

Maybe bring the hyphy movement back, look at the buzz that got the bay when it first started.not on no goofy shit but all people care about are songs they can gig to when they in the club.make a song/ music with the right energy it's bound to get a good buzz.like 40s tell me when to go that shit was always on MTV and got the bay noticed on a national level.

the bay is already a major factor in the rap game.
every rapper bites our style and lingo.

jus cuz the bay too raw to be on mtv and bet dont mean the bay aint a factor.
the bay is no factor in the industry my dude. the bay thinks they create everything. in 20 years your gonna have baby bay rap fans thinkin the bay created the golden gate bridge.

To be a major factor in the music industry , I don't want to hear unity because that will never happen in the bay .

the only cats that will be a factor are the cats that want to go commercial. then they will be hated on all over the bay rap webs. so that factor status will only be held by that artist, and not his region.

Everything being said is hypocritical how many times is it said in this forum that an artist needs to go back or continue to make his original sound from personal experience

I emailed Nothin Typical out not saying it was me to a few different people the responses were
This is a hit why didn't you tag this
It's mr kee
Oh that's coo bro not really expecting that from you tho

A djs response

its a shame, because the bay has alot of talent (talent that cant be touched by mainstream rappers)

also its up to the fans to get their fav bay artists to blow up.
yall gotta be requesting them nonstop to radio stations, music tv channels,ect...
it aint gonna happen on its own.

The problem is that the above statemment is difficult to reconcile with the fact that the vast majority of music that comes out of the Bay these days is garbage

Better business,Better managers, better publicist, better attitudes, and better promotion teams. A lot of bay artist are garbage but there's also a few dope artist/groups producing good quality music. To me its not about who's the dopest anymore in the music industry. It's about who has there business straight and money rite.

An artist can be bigger then there native city or region. Example lil'b.. Im not a fan of his music at all but the bay was his last stop when he started pushing his base god movement. You know where your from, your folks and family know where your from but the rest of the world doesn't give a shit where your from. They just want to hear some good listening

im not doubting that, if thats your opinion player. but what are you basing the level of illness on? theres alot of cats that are garbage that are on the radio. but theres a lot of cats that are sick too. its only about makin mass appealing music. its more than a dancable tempo and clean lyrics. its more than making a song for the bitches. you gotta listen to the radio if you wanna be on the radio. theres hella rappers signed to majors as we speak whos albums wont ever drop. and theres probably classic golden era bay rap albums in major vaults all cus the artist wasnt ready for the big time, for what ever reason. music changes. all genres. underground and commercial.
