Nowadays you got all these motherfuckers that wanna sing and do all that extra bullshit. People be posting shit about cats like Drake that wanna sing and act but can barely rap. These dudes act like they too good for rap and they got this kanye west syndrome where they wanna be artists and not mc's. Even snoop got like this on ego trippin. Dudes be trying too much to think outside the box. Fuck all that artist bullshit, rappers need to get back to the streets and quit dressing like you from europe and get off that emo homo shit.

Its all the same mentality. Why is there no gangsta rap? why are there no real rap groups? why cant people make real music? because whats "cool" isnt what we want to hear, or what is actually cool. People would rather support Asher Roth than a new Above the Law album.

^^^usually, yes, lately, not so much
I don't know what you been jammin that you can't find something you like. There is a lot of hot music out right now. I kinda felt the same way until about a year ago. I turned my radio off a long time ago. That Stik Figa that got posted in the midwest section been gettin mad spins in my deck, also the new X-Clan, Scoupe in my sig got a new called "The Voice" bout to drop, Jeff Johnson "Making My Name", I've been listening to that new Scratch "Loss 4 Wordz", Skyscraper Stereo " You Can't Do That On Television" has been gettin alot of spins since i got it, Big Tone "The Art Of Ink" is solid in my opinion, D. Fresh "#1 Draft Pick" and Hurraseason bka Hurricane "Best Mixtape Eva" been in rotation too. There is a lot out there that i have really been jammin lately

I gotta turn on the radio and see what everyone is so angry about. I know who mainstream hip hop is aimed towards and it sure as hell ain't me so i could give a damn what they are talking about or how they are saying it. I ain't gotta buy or listen to that stuff so i don't have anything to complain about. And there have been people sayin " artist X" is killing hip hop since the Fat Boys, Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Sir Mix-A-Lot ect... so i could care a less about that argument.

i dont blame the artist,i blame the record labels for pushing that shit out.if one artist makes it big with a new type of style/sound,records labels will go out there way to CREATED CLONES of that type of artist cause they are scared to take chances and investing money by takin a gamble on a new artist.they will play that trend out til the next record label with big enough balls invest in new artist then record labels will copy them.

i agree on that anybody can do what they want. i just feel that there has been a decline in the standard in the music they be puttin out. it's not that there isn't good shit out but not as much as it used to. the sad thing is that fags like kanye has become the the blueprint for succsess witch leads that lot of other fags i following in the same footsteps ,together that becomes a lot of gay ass music .

yall are acting like it's a terrible thing....anoyone ever hear "Playa Hater" by biggie? He was singin on that whole track and it's one of my favorites from Life After Death......I think a rapper steppin out the box and doing something completely different can be good if it's done right.....
