In the last year there have been a number of heaterz to drop in the bay. Unfortunately theres only room for 10 albums on a vote, so Im goin with ten of my favorite on the polls. If you have a different album in mind please post your favorite up. Note: no mixtapes, compilations or greatest hits cds, just full length artist LPs.
Some others that I did not get in the poll that you may want to keep in mind:

Guce and Killa Tay- Bullys Wit Fullies II

Malice- Concepts and Contradictions

A-Wolf-Miseries Company

Savage C-Smokey the Bandit

Mac Dre- The Game is Thick pt. 2

Equipto-Sketches

Ill post mine later, although those of you who read my posts could probly figure out what it is.

they are all slaps. this poll will not be for the best bay area album of the year, it will be your favorite bay area album of the year. depending on what type of music you like, you will like that album over all the rest. there is so many different rap styles in this poll. there is no 'best' style. each style used had a slappin ass album to back it up. i picked turf talk because im on that get stupid hyphy shit.

I love that Federation cd. It really is a crunk west coast cd-hyphy. You can feel it. The thing that impressed me most about the album, the most important thing, is that they are actually really good rappers.

Was the federation cd slept on or do people know how good it is?

The vote is kind of useless if you haven't heard all ten albums. I only have 6 of the 10 up to vote on but if I had to pick I'd say I Give You My Word is the best all around.

The Quinn album, hands down, with the Team and the Frontline album close behind it.

San Quinn's album is a perfect length, with 90% of the songs being DOPE, and i can listen to the other ones as well...good amount of features, good change up on the production, just a solid overall album, and one of the best in the past 5 years. This will be a classic in years to come.

As for sleeper albums, and ones that surprised me, that Malice is up there, but that Turf Talk really surprised me. it's a different taste and had a lot of good hits off it.
