So I am one of the unfortunate that call the Lions my team. That being said I want to know what everyone things they will/should do with that pick.

I would like to see them trade it away. I don't want a QB as they have to high of a failure rate. I would like to see them grab Calvin Johnson but they won't because they drafted three recievers in the last four years. SO really the best thing is simply to trade down and acquire more picks.

They should draft the best play available on the offensive end. Assuming the Raiders will draft Russell, the Lions should get Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson. Since Mike Martz is the offensive co-ordinator and he loves the passing game... I would go with drafting CJ if I was the Lions. I know they've drafted receivers before with their previous picks but Johnson looks to be the real deal at receiver.

Y'all don't think that Johnson, Williams, and that new receiver they just gave a contract to would cause problems in Martz' offense? I think they'd be tearing the league up. I know Detroit has drafted receivers in the past, but they can't pass on Johnson if they have an opportunity to draft him. I mean who would you double team?

on nfl.com mock draft

2. Detroit: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
The Lions will be tempted to use their first pick on yet another receiver, especially after Johnson's highly impressive showing at the Combine. General Manager Matt Millen also could give serious thought to selecting one of the top two quarterbacks available (Russell or Quinn) or Clemson defensive end Gaines Adams, another prospect who gave a strong Combine showing. But of all of their holes, the most logical for them to plug with this choice is offensive tackle. Thomas, who is a superb athlete, is the best at the position in this year's college crop and should be a fixture on the Lions' line for many years to come.

he would fit in but i still say trade up

Yeah, I don't see Joe Thomas getting picked, and I'll seriously never watch a Lions game again if we draft Quinn.. The dude is exactly the same as Harrington.

Calvin Johnson is the only way to go that'll really please me. Peterson wouldn't piss me off. But he'd probably flop in a Lions uniform.

Johnson's the only one I see as a sure thing.

And soembody mentioned that they have young recievers, and they dont'.. They have Roy Williams and nothing else really. Charles Rogers got cut. Mike Williams is probably gonna get cut.

If Mike Furrey can get a 1000 yards opposite Roy Williams in Martz' system, what do you think Calvin Johnson would do? It'd be sick.

Lions fan in Denver?

get outta the 303!

I'm a Broncos fan as well but my #1 team is the Lions, I use to live out there. THey suck, but there my team. And it's real easy for me to be A Broncos fan as well, the two teams only play each other once every four years. They will never meet in a SuperBowl. I was born in Denver then moved to Detroit and then came back. I call the Broncos my AFC team and the Lions my NFC team. Besides the Broncos are gonna be stacked this year. So I'm not worried about them.

Thanks for all the feed back. I agree, either Calvin Johnson or trade the pick!!
