Thats right NASA, ladies buy 53% of music. I been doin' street shit for 10 years. I wish I had the talent to make hits that ladies like and mothers dont mind their kids listening to. Jay Tee, Gemini, Bash, Cisko and NB Ridaz all do that shit. Peace.

If making a Love rap song is what it takes to make it then
thats fine. But Then don't turn around and on the next track and talk about how your keepin it real!

When I made this post I wasn't even thinking about Jaytee or Beesh..or a few of the names I read...I wasn't taking a jab I was just stating that enough is enough! Do what ya got to do to make bread right!

Money doesn't justify anything! That's what wrong with music now days. Shit! That's what's wrong with alot of things now days. Money..money..money. what ever happened to integrity!

How come Hammer was a sellout back in the days and folks that do the same thing now are doing there HUSTLE!

I love music and RAP is STILL my favorite artform. But when money becomes the only objective then the ART in it is
comprimized! Funny how people get defensive!

Integrity doesn't feed families Rene. Nobody is being defensive. Its just look at the big picture, you dont love your wife, daughter or mom? We always have to make songs about ridin' on cats and bangin'a nd sellin' dope? Thats kinda short sided if you ask me.

Its all good but just look at the big picture, Bash and Jay Tee are ten plus years into their careers. Neither of them have stopped making music, in fact their best shit has been their recent shit but no label swooped them until they made shit for mass appeal. Look at the bigger pic.

I think you got a geat point B12 and I'm sure you are right!

Music styles and likes change over the years! Jaytee damn near sold 1 million copies off a song that basically was about picking up broads and fuckin them @ a Hotel.....

maybe I just wish things were like the old days that's all.

12 i'm seeing an even bigger picture tho'

called integrity...

but i don't think Jay Tee or Beesh sold out...so it doesn't have to do with them...

but i'm sayineff makin a song JUST for radio play...
you gotta be feelin it AS a fan/artist ya dig...

i mean, that's why i do my own shit, ain't nobody sound like me, make songs like me, what not...

and that might hold me back, but it also might set me apart from the rest

the love song thing don't necessarily bother me, but what does bother me is when someone is all about fuck a hoe and a bitch, and THEN releases a LOVE type song, i don't dig that one bit! I'm sure some of y'all agree.

If i want to listen to some love songs, i'll listen to somethin with some soul to it, will downing, maysa, sade, jodeci, ol school mj, maxwell. Not to say that i haven't made a girl get freaky to some N2deep or woodie even just because they opened their mouth and said they didnt' like it, i did that shit just because i knew they didn't like it.

There are a few good softer rap songs out there that i like, but the NELLY/KELLY song was ass, any JA RULE song like that was ASS! I don't like nick cannon, but at least he came out hollin gigalo instead of i love you and i'll buy you whatever you want. and at least Fabolous was talkin about playin 2 broads.

but aye, do what you do. If you want the paper bad enough, write love songs and make some songs about how much you hate your mom while you're at it

mann, bottom line....U gotta ask yurself....are U an ARTIST or just another RAPPER? majors alwayz scoutin for shit like that....they aint lookin 4 who's sellin out by makin LOVE songs....They search for who has it in them 2 be an artist that ain't afraid 2 experiment without worrying about acceptance....

now theres a fine line between bein real and exagerating.

id rather hear someone who can spit shit bout bein in a relationship, and know hes speakin the truth...

then about some foo robbin a 7-11 with his 45 in a ski mask, and know its fake...

i think that its not a matter of makin "love" raps songs, but if someone can make a love song that many will feel, men and females alike, then he on a whole nother level.

i suggest u take a listening to tech9e, track 17 on anghellic "this ring"

what gets me ticked are those songs bout "he doesnt treat you right" like lil bow wow did. now thats soft like downy.
