We (American society) have placed too much value on sports. The importance of them in our life has grown to the point that we spend billions of dollars on the industry, we place more significance on big game days than actual holidays (MLK Day for instance) and we fuel the ego's of athlete's by paying them exorbitant salaries and treating them as though they are Gods. All of this combined provides for the environment in sports that we have today.
Plus, there are too many distractions and the line betwen sports and entertainment has been blurred. Pro athlete's want to be rappers, actors, and everything else but that which they intially became famous for (their sport). If they spent as much time trying to improve their games as they did with all this off field bullshit we'd see some better players and games.
T.O., I don't give a fuck about your next end zone dance or anyone else's for that matter. Act like you've scored a touchdown.
Kobe, you stole Tiger's fist pump and Michael's demeanor and speech pattern. Come up with your own shit (I know this has nothing to do with his game).
If the League wasn't deplete of good defenders we wouldn't see a ridiculous 81 point game. Get some heart, toughness and some motherfuckin' meaness in you. Quit trying to be buddy buddy with your opponents. Take it back to the 60's, 70's, 80's and before then.
And stop referring to yourselves in the third person. That shit is played and corny.
