ITS GOOD TO SEE ALL THE MAGAZINE PEEPS COMMUNICATING WITH EACH OTHER...

ALL OF YOU HAVE VERY GOOD POINTS. MY THING IS STATS. I WISH MAG'Z WOULD SHOW STATS. WE SEE THEM ON SHELVES BUT HOW MANY ARE ACTUALLY SELLING. ITS HARD TO PUT TOGETHER A MAGAZINE BUT EASY TO PAY FOR (WITH AN ORGANIZED BUDGET SYSTEM) WHEN YOU HAVE SPONSORS AND/OR ARTIST BUYING IN. TO ME WHEN I SPEND MONEY, I MAKE SURE IM INVESTING IT TO RECEIVE THE BIGGEST RESULTS FOR MY MONEY (THATS NOT IN ALL CASES..LOL) ALSO I LIKE TO SEE WHAT PLACES THESE MAGAZINES ARE BEING DISTRIBUTED TO. I THINK IF MAG'Z STARTED INCLUDING THESE TYPES OF RESULTS ADS MY INCREASE. (ONLY SPEAKING ON THE NEW MAGAZINES, MAG'Z LIKE SOURCE, XXL, HAVE AWARD SHOWS ETC. WE ALL GREW UP ON EM...) BUT ANYWAYZ, THANKS AGAIN. IM READING EVERYTHING.

Stash Magazine is the only free hip-hop/urban music and lifestyle magazine. Being free, pickup rate is way high. We also have hundreds of subscribers all over the country that include industry, fans, incarcerated, dj's producers, people in the army, etc. In addition we're distributed in urban stores like clothing (True, Against All Odds), record shops (Rasputins, Creative Music, Amoeba, VIP), shoe stores (Huf, Undefeated), events (Rock The Bells, Paid Dues Festival), concerts, clubs, streets.. the other day homey got out of jail and i sent him 20 mags and told me everyone took em.

Aside from print, we do weekly e-mail blasts that go out to music industry, fans, artists, dj's producers, clothing lines, and more! People that drop an ad in there get seen by them as well as our website that gets about 1million hits per month because we got new music, videos, interviews and more.

That way, you see the ad in the mag and you get to hear the music online. 2 birds one stone.

So like we say, "Reach out to more than just your block. Get in Stash"

email [email protected] or call 415-350-2196

keep on grinding! let's get it!

I am proud of all of the Magazines that were founded in the BAY. I know alot of the owners of the Bay Area Magazine and respect them. I have known Deebo owner of Boss Status for years on the Music Tip. I met Big Jon at his birthday a year ago at the Time Out Club and dude is a cool cat. I know Ron at Under Dog Records who is the owner of Xplosive Magazine, I know Dj Pimp (Whatz Up Pimp?) and have met Ceza. Everyone is doing their respective things in a Magazine Game that has become more flooded then the Rap Industry itself.

I personally was blessed to be sought out by a SOUTHERN FOUNDED Publication. Street Masters Magazine was founded in Memphis TN, Scott Bejda of MURDER DOG MAGAZINE runs the EXECUTIVE EDITOR part of Street Masters Magazine (Everyone Big In The Bay Has Been Interviewed By Scott Bejda for Murder Dog Magazine) and he told the owner that they had to bring me on, so I got the call. It is an HONOR to be sought out and to bring a Southern Based Publication to the California Bay Area.

I have been at the Publication 3-Years Now. In my very first year I got us Distribution with News Waves of which was also Distributing Murder Dog Magazine at the time. I also landed us Distribution with the Largest Magazine Distributor in New York (my boss won't allow me to list their name) and also rapbay.com. I also got the Publication to hire on C-4 as another staff writer to help aide Scott Bejda and that has made the Publication that much better.

Being that we are not BAY AREA founded, we have an different overall sales market then most of the Bay Area Magazines. We focus on The South, The West Coast and The East Coast. We ship 50,000 Magazines to the Southern Region, we ship 50,000 Magazines to the Western Region and we ship the final 50,000 Magazines to our Distributor on the East Coast. Our circulation size is 150,000 units. With extras and errored copies being given out for "Free" in the Bay Area at Rap Events and Clothing and Shoe Stores (I know alot of your catz have picked them up).

Which ever Magazine you artists run an ad in or an ad "Campaign" in. Make sure you work that issue like you are working your cd. Ask the Magazine for an Extra Box of that Issue and go out into the Streets and the Stores and work that Issue. Make sure everyone that you want to buy your cd sees that Issue and that they know your in it. You as an artist still have to do your part.

Just my 2 Pennies.

SPEAK ON 'EM FAM....THIS IS ONE MISCONCEPTION DAT CLIENTS HAVE ABOUT MAGAZINES...WE CAN TELL PEOPLE ABOUT U,HELL WE MIGHT EVEN MAKE U FAMOUS...BUT WITHOUT YOU PROMOTING UR ARTICLE/AD AS AN ARTIST IT'S JUST ANOTHER LOOSING EFFORT....U CAN'T HELP PEOPLE WHO WONT HELP THEMSELVES...EVERYDAY I HOPE DAT DA BAYAREA WORKS TOGETHER JUST LIKE HOW DA SOUTH ALL LOOKS OUT FOR EACH OTHER...THAT IS DA SOUTHS MAIN SECRET FOR THEIR SUCCESS...ONE DAY WE TOO SHALL PREVAIL...

Depends on how much they are going to charge you. If you end up paying the cost you would pay for a thousand cd's to hand out so people can HEAR your music for free then that would make way more since.

YOU HAVE A GOOD POINT WITH THAT. WHEN I BE OUT ON THE STREETS PASSING OUT FLYERS FOR MY RELEASES SOMETIMES, ALOT OF PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY, "THEY CAN'T HEAR A FLYER."
