Working on campus at USC doing IT work for classrooms in the business school. Has to be the best job ever for being in college. I get paid a lot ($12.50/hr) becuase I've been doing this for 4 years and am good at it and a student supervisor. Sit on my ass surfing the net or doing HW and wait for the phone to ring from a professor in a classroom who either: Can't play a DVD or tape, can't log on the PC, or can't turn on the overhead projector. Every now and then I gotta fuck around with wires and cables and connections, but it comes with experience. Hardest part about the job is being there @ 7am all week to open classrooms and check shit.
For you guys with business degrees, work in the business school some-how. I've made so many connections with professors, staff, contractors, and the deans. They know people working outside of the school and will most likely hook you up if they know you.
My degree is in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in conctruction management. Will be starting this summer after I graduate working for Turner Construction in Project Management. Will most likekly get a job on the weekends cleaning homes/apartments and there yards for forclosed homes owned by the bank.
