this site has gone downhill due to all that netbanging, i've been viewing this site for like 4-5 years and its gets worse everyday. Too many people talkin down on others peoples hard work when they aint got shit themselves. It used to have hella information and good posts, but its flooded with crap. Fuckers gotta research a lil bit before asking stupid shit, like the same post questions that was like 3 days ago. anyways lets see how many haters respond to this.

Well, I'm not hating, but yeah, I've noticed that over the years, too. Even though I didn't actually start posting messages here until last year, I've been surfing and reading the posts on this site since around late 2000/early 2001, and you do notice the difference. Too much shit talking and net-banging--I feel like I'm watching "Full House" or "Saved By The Bell" when I read some of the silly shit here...some people don't know the meaning of the phrase "be cool." Just my opinion, though...

I agree with this as well. Too many cats are on here to be hard, rather than to network and show love for those who deserve it. I'm waiting for the day everybody on this board will be able to get together (like @ a BBQ or something), without any kind of funk jumpin off. I understand not everybody can get along all the time, but when it comes to this music, I think people need to set all differences aside, that would help the bay out so much, but nobody knows it because problems out here are staggering!! People need to respect each others opinions also, rather than call each other idiots and talk shit because they believe in different things than you do.
a lot of youngsters and stupid questions are areound because these young cats have been raised on bull shit rap(mtv and commercial rap), but now they are looking on the internet and seeing what else is out there. we who have been here for 5 years plus, shit i think this is year 7 for me, had to seek out this little obscure board. BART and the Siccness were havens for us who came up in the golden era of bay rap and wanted like minded individuals. this forum was so specialized that you really had to search out bay rap. now a days run a google search on "mac dre" and you will get a link to a thread on BART. for all the people with me who were around/conscious for the glory days of the bay rap and BART just weed out the dumb posts/questions and keep enjoying this board.
To tell you the truth, I been postin at Siccness/Raptalk/BART whatever u want to call it since 1999...in the last two years or so I have seen NO CHANGE at all. The board continues to be what it is. In 1999 it was a quiet community, there were probly less then 1/2 of the members there are here, most of them were older, respectful, and there to post and talk about music. Due to the intense popularity in bay area music and the popularity of message boards like this, more and more people poured onto them. Most of them seem to be in it for the music like the first folks were, but a dozen or so netbangers have given the board a bad name.
Nothing has changed in the last two years. Posts on the board have become more diluted (not bay related, spam, shit talking) but that has to be expected with any large messege board. If you ever peep SOHH, most posts there get one or two replies and then are lost even if they are good because there is so much posting and participation.
My advice is to quit bitchin about the board. It aint gonna get no better, but its not that bad in the first place. Ignore the spam and shit talkers, post interesting topics and reply to interesting topics and that will keep the good shit in the limelight and the haters off the board.

havin artists helps but also hurts. There aint no other board out there that has so much artist/fan interaction, fans can ask artists anything and learn about products in advance, but on the other hand havin fans on here means some folks cover up their true opinions, take the side of an artists just cause they are an artist, or suck the artists cock like a Bangkok vet, but you gotta take the good with the bad right?
I'll basically say this:
Cats either need to get banned OR talked to about CONSTANTLY SPAMMING THIS BOARD....This WHOLE BOARD is like one big Source Magazine now just FULL of ads...We HAVE a studio forum, yet cats still post EVERY NEW FUCKIN BEAT they do in this forum. This should be regulated in my opinion. We have seperate forums for a REASON. If u wanna sell yer shit, fine. Make ONE POST. Don't post up every time u get a jones to make a beat or sell yer lyrics er whatever....It's bullshit man and it's made me visit this board less and less. It's lawless. Every other message board I visit has RULES. Cats either get banned or atleast put in their place for bein dumb. This used to be a place to exchange ideas, network, and even argue to a point. Now like I said it's a big, dumb advertisement.
Make some changes or yer gonna lose the cats that MADE this board.

youngstas asking stupid questions and you posting this bullshit thread........
If you feel this board is not up to your standards any more
do something to change it......don't just sit there and expect
someone to make it all better because you don't feel at home
here anymore......i been here since 99 and i agree there was just as many net bangers and dipshits then as there is now....i look at it like there is 2 options you can ignore it and try not to lower yourself to there level or you can kick rocks and find some other place on the INTERNET!!
