Nitty is in prison, has been for a long minute. As for the others, not sure, but I know that two of them was on Hobo Tone's recent CD. One was Bakarii, don't remember who the other was. Other then that, I couldn't really tell you anything about the RDV's in recent times.

I think what happened to Nitty was the downfall of the group. And for those who didn't know by now...Short Nitty (Tyrone Kendall) was sentenced to life in prison for pleading guilty to 1 count of forcible rape and 2 counts of sodomy. In exchange for the plea he had 19 other charges dropped including statutory rape and sodomy. I believe the victim was a 10 year old girl. The crime was committed on July 7th 2001, right at the height of the RDV's and Tech N9ne's popularity in KC.

After that the Rogue Dogs released their 4th album "Roguish Ways" in April of 2002. Their first without the standout member Short Nitty. Nitty's complementary style to Tech and the rest of the Rogues was key to their success. And on "Roguish Ways" his absence was clearly evident. They tried to replace him with Roc and The Boogie Man from The Zou but the results were not the same.

Add to that was also the sudden tragic loss of the Rogue Dogs main production crew of Keith and Kev. Keith and Kevin Ford were twins who both had sickle cell disease. Keith passed right before the release of "Roguish Ways" and Kev passed on November 19th 2002. In fact I spoke with the Rogue Dogs in an interview on the day of the funeral service for Keith and they seemed very devastated and hurt from all the losses they endured in the last year.

Fast forward to 2003, Roguish Ways was not a success as their previous albums turned out to be, Tech N9ne was on a national tour and three other key components of the group were dead or in jail. It seemed like it was time for pointing fingers and calling out Tech N9ne. It was all dished out in an article in the Kansas City Murder Dog issue.

Tech and Mike (Bakarii) bumped heads a few times when they were in clubs...and as recent as last summer I don't believe any resolution was made between the two. I believe Tech and T-Will remained friends and even squashed things with Big Scoob, but I can't speak for the status between Tech and Bakarii.

It's clear that without Tech, Nitty and Keith & Kev there could be no Rogue Dogs. For the last four years I had heard rumors of solo albums being released, a new album, etc. but nothing has come to fruition.

While it's sad to think they will never release another album, it is totally possible.

I thought Rougish Ways was a good cd. Short Nitty can go fuck himself. He wasn't that good and he should be killed in prison for the shit he did. I hope Tech and Bakarii can mend things up cause I would love to hear all those guys get back together.

Rougish Ways had practically no direction. A bunch of random songs through on an album pretty much. They tried to live off the hype of the remakes they made like Millenium Mitch (Mitch Bade) which wasn't all that hot. Now, Nitty did do something very ill to end his life on the streets and career, but for you to say he wasnt that good (rapping) then you must be smoking. You gotta listen to all the other trax, when it was time for him to do solo records on their 2nd album, he killed it! Nitty was one of the rawest members of the RDV's, in this order...

1.Tech
2.Nitty
3.
4.
5.
6.Big Scoob
7.Txx Will
8.
9.
10.

20.Bakarii (Dude SUX)
