when i was younger i kinda forget HOW but i just started feeling tupac, and too short, and shit like that snoop, nwa's shit..... now i was a spoiled only child so my grandma would be buying me up anything i wanted to cop....so when i 1st heard of some songs off i think it was shorty the pimp, or maybe even before that...i was hooked, i think i was like 7 or 8 at the time i 1st decided i was feelin rap....so i moved on past too short and tribe called quest and so on, into tupac all eyez on me....grandma drove all alone to warehouse in vallejo the 1st day pac came out with that shit and bought me it on tape and brought it back to me at home where i was playin sega with my friends ...we popped it in and got blown away, it wasnt even the clean version cuz my grandma didnt realize......so as you can tell, all eyez on me is what sucked me into rap , i remember hearing GANGSTA PARTY, and at that age i didnt memerize lyrics as good so i sat there rewindin the tape over and over, with a pen and paper WRITING DOWN the whole song until i got it all, so i could rap along with them, i was JUICED.

so ever sense then ive been a rap fiend, ive switched and blended into many different genres, but ive never LEFT rap i will always listen to rap i feel. OVerall i listen to it all soft rock, rock, heavy rock, classic shit, i cant fuck with weird whiny rock bands and/or punk as much, and defintley no trance shit, and you could throw out most country but becuz of my girlfriend i know a little country shit :/

(before all that Makavelli and Death Row crap)
You mean to say you didn't like Pac's shit on Death Row? That's when his lyrics were in their rawest form...when they were the most potent.

I didn't really like rap until I saw the video for DRE DAY, that song got me into the genre. My boy moved out here from Texas in 1994 when I was 12, and he's the one that got me into rappin' myself...we had our little duo back then, and we were ALWAYS flowin', everywhere we went. He died 2 years later, I stopped rappin'...a couple months after I stopped, I wrote a song called STOP THE PAIN (Original Version), and I've been writing ever since.

To this day, I'm extremely picky about rap, it takes a really good artist to make me listen...I've never liked all forms of rap and I never will. In fact, the only HIP HOP shit I like is J5...the only rappers I listen to are Dre, 'Pac, Roscoe, Snoop (He's still tight to me), Eazy, Cube...and the cats I work with.

me...

i never got to listen to rap until i was in 4th or 5th grade...or wait...shit...i remember the first rap song i ever heard was "gangsta paradise". lol, and i knew all the words to the song and loved it. but anyway... i always had to live w/ my grandparents cuz my ma was never home and my dad died. and they listened to opera and shit. i never liked it...so, i just walked in another room. BUT! ever since kindergarten, i wrote poems and stories and shit. then when i heard biggie and diddy for the first time...i started learning all the words and i would sit in my room everyday and never come out, just listening. i was like a sponge...lol, i soaked up everything. and then i started to comprehend rap, love it...and then write it.

my parents actually started to get worried and started talkin to my teachers cuz i stopped talking to them...plus, im a white girl...what are they supposed to think

Regulators got me into rap.
I heard it at my school when I was in 4th grade... some gay middle school lip-synching contest, but some clean fools came out with regulators, hittin the whole song. I went home and somehow heard it on the radio again... So I got hooked even more... started fiending to listen to it more, but I didnt have the tape and didnt even know Warren G and Nate Dogg were the whole song.
I think a couple weeks later i copped a copy of the single on tape, and that was it. My first rappers were: Beastie Boys, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Snoop, and Ice Cube. Then I graduated into more hardcore shit.. E-40, Mac Dre (actually mac dre came LATE... but now im a huge fan), Nickatina, etc.

But I still listen to all types of music. All except country. Not trippin off anything, all music is tight. But Rap is my forte` or whatever.
