I appreciate all that was shared on here, and thru the PMs. I make no excuses and applaud you for having the courage to give your opinion without any hesitation, second guessing, or malice behind your words. The Northern California rap scene has been saturated, and has been about bullshit for the last few years. There was a time, that one had to be a solid type cat to put out an album, but nowadays anyone and everyone seems to be rapping and putting out wack records. This is a craft, and one that is a master, or considers themselves to be a master of this craft must ask the question, "What is thier motivation, and/or what are they in it for?" Some are in it to just be seen by people, some to get pussy, some to get rich, some to just pay bills and be comfortable. Some for all the above reasons. Again I will state, I am not here to intergrate with none of the shit that others are doing. I can be Reese, and only Reese. You will not see me Hyphy, you will not see me using the newest slang that may be out. I keep it OG cause I was one of the last generations that came up under that real G shit. So while some choose to wear them sparkly shirts with the fruity color hoodys, you will see me in some creased jeans, t-shirt, and a ball cap. Thats me, straight lace, no chaser. I aint never been one to follow trends. There is a market for my shit, and I will keep making the music I like, for my fanbase. I think this is where folks get it twisted. When it all comes down to it, you are an artist. You make music to what you feel, and what you do, you know? Umless you in it just to make money, cause if you are then yes, you gotta cater to folks. Me on the other hand, I do what I like. If you like it, cool, if you dont, cool. It will sell, I will pay bills, and my babies will go shopping off me rhyming some words together. Thats what I see and care about. Supplement to my income, and provide music for my folks, the old and the new that love to hear them "OG raps". I been gone from this shit for 3 years. Poppin in and out of different projects as a guest, but 3 years since I have been really "rappin" During that time I had some self reflection, and joined the Nation under Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan (Saviours Day in Detroit this past weekend was a beautiful thing) . This new album will be some different shit, I can tell you that much. Its on some gansta shit, but if you really listen you will hear a message in it, and references to the lost-found Nation in the West.

Rolando, you are a solid brother, and again, I thank you for your words, and your honesty. I dont know if Sydal is gonna thank you, but I do.... Naw, kus fuckin with you...Its always good to laugh a little....
That's real shit right there, Reese.

I do thank Rolando for his honesty, it really doesn't bother me like it would most folks...keeps me grounded and humble. I know that what I do is from my heart and soul, and it's not going to cater to everybody. Things like what he said, I do think about when I write...makes me want to better myself as an artist. I'm not necessarily going to make shit cater to his tastes, but I do always try to improve with every verse, every bar...

Reese..i been saying from day 1 that the bay area rap game is saturated...and the problem is that the games was told to too many kids and now everyone that thinks they can rhyme word per word thinking they have an actual shot at the rappin game....

If was a vet rapper in the game...I'd tell those wack ass rappers they wack and to stop puttin out garbage...fuck being nice to these homemade PC microphone/studio rappers about the real deal...

THERE KOO AS A WHOLE., BUT THEY JUST REP SAN JO WAY TOO HARD, AND THERE SONGS 90% OF THE TIME ARE ALL ABOUT SAN JOSE, THEY MAAKE SAN JOSE SOUND WAY TOO GANGSTA.
AND THESE NOT A SOLO ARTIST IN THEM THAT STANDS OUT.

.
I rarely speak on these threads....but fuck it here I go.....I have been in the San Jose rap game for over 10 years....I have seen alot of artists come and go...but I respect every artist out there who is working on there projects....The Home of the Killa Sharks was the first all San Jose compilation with artists, producers, studio, graphics all done by San Jose folks.....We at @ Crazy Times make music we like and will never follow trends to make that paper....Dont get me wrong if you started out as a hyphy rapper thats your thing but we OG's so we make street music...as far as making San Jose sound way too gangsta I can already tell you aint no street dude but hey thanks for you opinon......We have sold over 40 thousand units over 10 years and We will continue to make our music.....We recently just opened our own studio to make it easier to drop Quality Cd's and keep on the grind.....San Jose will never be accepted cause we different as a whole....We all come from the same places mexicans, blacks, asians, Uso's, Whites whos familys grew up together and now our families are growin up together and we all ride in the same 408 car. So bottom line is this we gonna stay true to what we know and keep reppin San Jo to the fullest....just my 2 cents man.....

The hyphy shit is koo... & evry other way foo'z are doin' it out here but I hope Killa Sharks, Jaz, Reese Loc, etc. (all the vets) that been doin' this gangsta/street shit continues to put it down like that. Cuzz it's fresh air to me frm all this hyphy stuff... so keep doin' your thang to all the vets...

Right on, fam. Opinions are always welcome, regardless. That's why when I put new tracks up on the net, I tell folks I want honest feedback. Rarely do I get ANY feedback, but it's always worth a shot, lol.

- download all songs - slappisfaction guaranteed -

Loot Dogg tha Hogg is the Sj representative of the duo, and the other - Deep East Marcus Weezy hails from Oakland (but has been residing in San Jose for a few years now). They been the #1 rap group on bandspace.com for over 2 years and get 10,000 plays a month on myspace... Dropped they debut album "Classified" last year... which hasn't been promoted enough due to the fact that Loot's freedom has been compromised most of the time that the album been out (thanks to SJPD)... but thankfully he expected to touch down from San Quentin next month...

It's a solid full-length 20 all-original track disc that features brothas from all over the bay... definitely worth knowin 'bout!

Might be a couple copies left in Rasputin's, but I doubt it... I even had to steal one of them back from Tower before they closed down...

read further for more background info... thank y'all for the time - enjoy

Hahaha... Time for us to get right then, y'feel?

I'll just drop a brief bitta info so y'all know wut the deal is: Marcus Weezy was featured alongside Keak da Sneak, Turf Talk, Mistah FAB, Ya Boy, Cellski, Balance, and JT the Bigga Figga on the Gorilla Pits album, Generation of Renegades - which had the song Scrapin' (w/Keak and Turf), that gotta gang of spins on KMEL - .... and over 10 yrs. ago in the 'Sco - the homie Loot was in a high speed wit the folks K-Loc from the Gorilla Pits - and then they didn't see each other for the next time until 2004! Random shit - but I gotta hold it down for my folks, cuz they be in traffic way too much & don't mess with the net...

Just stoppin thru to give a big shot out to marcus weezy, a long time fam of the GorillaPits, he has a bunch of slumpers that are due to make waves and to also say you can check that new demolition men/gorillapits mixtape "concrete jungle" ......stop by my page to hear some samples
