What dont you like about the South Bay scene?

Yeah thats one of the main reasons it doesnt just sound ignorant it is ignorant and stupid
san jose/south bay is a fairly safe area and it is not known for no crazy shit as far as major crime murders all that shit that people in the suburbs that buy most gangsta rap records are obsessed with.. so for a gangsta rapper to come out that area you are competing with cities like oakland, frisco, richmond etc. like somebody is not going to listen to a gangsta rapper from beverly hills (not trying to compare beverly hills with san jose just making a point)
i wouldnt say people dont know the getdown in epa tho and as far as i know its considered westbay epa is pretty bad alot worse then vallejo for example.. and most people in the bay know about it..

Gentrification. Plus I think it has turned in to an experiment to see how much police can control a city. We have tons of cops. Also like trajik said things that happen out here crime related rarely make the news there is to much money to lose for the higher uppers. San franciso has alot more to lose being one of the most popular cities in the WORLD but everybody still knows about the bullshit that goes down in frisco. It dont have shit to do wit gentrification or police or none of that shit if all that shit really helped they would have applied it to other cities san jose is not viewed as hood becuz in comparison to other bay cities it aint.
First things first im not trying to convince people on how "hood" san jo is. now your right frisco should have alot more to lose being one of the most popular cities in the World, but im not talken about coming to visit and being a tourist im talken about living. Frisco makes a ton of scratch off of tourists. San Jo makes all of there money off of people who invest in to the city and reside there. If your a tourist and you hear about all the shit that goes on in the sco it doesent really matter cuz your not going to be visiting those places and you can leave. Perfect example New orleans for Mardi gras New Orleans is grimey and you never hear anything good about it yet it is a tourist city and people still go. San Jose is a spot that thrives off of the money from the residents. They really are trying to turn it into a beverly hills out here. Now the cops that is a whole other story i have never seen a police force like the sjpd. They have shit on lock. so yes genterifcation and the police have a major hand in changing the face of sj.
really tho, am in the south bay all day and other than traxx and metal mouth i dont hear bout no one....shit just not much comin' out of south bay compared to the rest of the bay....we need more rappers to step up, we need more competition in south bay alone IMO forget about the rest of the bay for a minute and lets do our south bay thing, you dont really hear bout nobody and as much as i hate beef(rap beef that is lol i dont want noone losin' they life) i think thats what we might need because at the end of the day itll get your name and our cities out there and gets ppl interested in our shit.....fuck it anything to get on out there....i mean who the fuck we got out in the south bay that ppl should really be check'n for.....look at pittsburg small ass city and they got so much talent comin' out of there.....the jacka, husalah, rydah, a-wax, the conference...shit that's just off the top of my head.....

It depends on the content if you are a "gangsta" rapper it does matter where you from.. you know just like i do the MAJORITY of the people that buy gangsta rap shit are people that are infatuated by that lifestyle and YES THEY DO go off image so in that case it does matter... gangsters dont BUY gangsta rap records lil whiteboys from the suburbs that think dealing drugs and people getting killed is cool buy it..
