na, u end up signing a contract for lets just say 3 album deal, get an ok advance, have to sell about 100,000 to keep the contract valid and get a bigger advance for the next one, get a couple dollars a cd, pay the advance off, .... blahblahblah, basicaly, work for promotion.. but shit, get the promo, go back independent, u might be good..
