How about a west coast underground summit, represented by kat like Cude and B-12 , Vamps etc..
This way we could get the west coast artists , label,etc together discussing and making moves for the type of shit you talking about Cuda I think we can do it ,it just takes time...

But if you think gangsta rap is going to sell millions and millions of units like it did back in the NWA days then you are a stupid mutha fucka. No doubt Tact, no doubt. People knowing what their job is and sticking to it can make all the difference in the world. Some cats need to be willing to step up to the plate and others need to be willing to take backseat without letting ego's get in the way.
You mentioned that it will take time, money and proper planning. Especially the money part! People act like they are scared to invest in anything these days, which is understandable. But at some point, real progress comes with a price tag attached to it. A good written proposal and a mouthpiece to go with it can do wonders for securing financial investors.
And lastly, it's not just networking that needs to happen. You can exchange contact information all day long but you need to do the follow-up! Cat's need to actually be able and willing to do what they say. You got to get your hands dirty and put in some work.
My hats off to B12 and Doxx (and whoever else played a part) in making the Bay Area Rap Summit a real possibility. I just read B12's post that it is postponed for a minute but I believe it has the right cat's at the helm to still make it happen.

WOW!!!!! I have been sitting here for a while reading all this REAL SPIT and it is a great topic... There is a lot of information that can be said here and all the folx can read it, but the thing is they have to do it. It is real easy to say you recorded an album and it is on the shelves. The next question is how much footwork have you done for the project. It don't count if you just put your fliers and posters up in a few stores, there is a lot more than that.

all i accpect from a distributor is to have my product available wit promo for the specified stores they deal with posters flyers cd in a listining station ecct.... this is a bizzness first and foremost and it need teamwork to develop and grow and benefit both parties i think for an indi artist wit a budjet or a buzz should get a p an d deal cuz it dont make sence for an artist that has a lets say 20,000 dollar budjet to press up his own shit when he could use that to promote it and help hiself and the distributor cuz bottom line they want ur product to sell just as much as u do so some commuictaion needs to be met both parties have to be on the same page for it to work if there are any places that fit this criteria of helping the artist just as much as we are willing to help you then plz let me know pzzzzzzzzz
