Theres way too many rappers dropping albums in the bay for me to keep up with. It seems like everyone drops a album. So its hard to comment bc I havent heard everything. To me the bay is no different from anywhere else. Just like any other coast they have talented artist and wanna be artist.

I know cats from Texas love E-40 & the click. Native Americans from the reservation in South Dakota love bay shit from the nineties. I met this one dude from there and he asked me where I'm from. I told him the bay area in cali. He asked what city and I told him Vallejo. He went nuts. He said, "Oh shit you from Vallejo!? Mac Dre and Mac Mall are from Vallejo! Did you know the song Pimp Shit? Let me burn your bay cds!" Where he's from they hate radio shit and only bump classic bay shit. He was acting star struck cause I was from the bay lol! He said if I went to his rez I would be treated like a celebrity just being from the bay. I can tell they don't leave the area much lol.

Here in Albuquerque the hip hop is split. The Mexicans down here support the hell out of their artists. Lil Rob, Gemini, NB Ridaz, Bash... They get spins on the radio like crazy and they be the top selling rap albums in the store. The other big selling hip hop is popular down south: Mike Jones, T.I, Flip, etc, and underground: Del, Hiero, Murs, Atmosphere, Jean Grae, Talib, Common, Mos etc. The only bay shit they know is the Team cause they get radio play here.

Some of the music is cool but the majority it sounds like they made the song up in 20 minutes, not enough quality

Hyphy shit is cool to me, get buck feel to it.....get the right rapper and that shit will blow....
hate to say Keak ain't the one who is going to do it, he sounds like he has marbles in his mouth..
