It's just a district within a larger city. Most large cities have those. LA has Fairfax , Crenshaw, Pico-Union, etc. Most people claim they're area when they're in a big city. San Ysidro is San Diego. Look at the DMV website it says San Ysidro DMV but look at it's address it's San Diego.

according to my thomas guide it does...
and i don't know what you people are talking about, but san ysidro is NOT a city. unless my info is outdated, it doesn't have its own city hall and police station... its a part of the city of san diego the same way pacoima, hollywood, san pedro, or bel aire is a part of los angeles.

chula vista and imperial beach are cities in san diego counties....san ysidro, nestor, otay mesa are all communities in san diego...just look at the police dept. imperial beach gots sheriffs....and chula vista got the cvpd....san ysidro gots sdpd............................ALSO THERE IS TWO BORDERS, OTAY MESA AND SAN YSIDRO...........WHICH ONE IS THE BORDER TOWN????? its san diego county.....
