Looking at this thread really gets me thinking, "damn their are so many rappers in 2012." But I guess when we're at a time when grandparents could of been listening to grandmaster flash's "the message" that's gonna happen. I wonder when we're gonna hear a Tupac song on an oldies radio station.

There are indeed. The problem is that because of the sheer amount of material that's being put out, because the media can no longer be relied on for finding out the best artists and because the scene has gotten so badly fragmented, it is very hard to find out all the good rappers out there as a lot of them are quite obscure and you have to sort through a lot of garbage to find the gems.
