Yesterday I was flipping through my DVD library looking for something to watch & I realized out of all of the DVD's I own I don't own any War movies or Westerns.

I'm not a huge fan of Westerns but their might be a film or two worth owning. Only ones I could remember watching was Blazing Saddles Posse & Young Guns. That was so long ago I can't remember if those are good movies or not. I heard The Wild Bunch was the shit.

As far as War movies I was thinking about copping Full Metal Jacket & Saving Private Ryan.

What are some good War & Westerns worth copping? Not just random ass ones but true classics that I'm missing out on.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is my fav. western of all time.....it's long but it's very good...other westerns that are good are Geronimo with Wes Studi, Jason Patric, Robert Duvall(if i remember right, might been Gene Hackman or both) and a young Matt Damon...Hamburger Hill is a good war movie...The Battle of the Bulge...I like young guns I & II becuz they got some funny ass one liners...I've seen alot of war movies, one was called "To End All Wars" a WW II movie in the pacific islands where the prisoners are made to build a rail road for the japanese.....very good movie it's with Kiefer Sutherland tho, watched it and did a essay on it...
