Wes Craven took to Twitter to address the Scream television series in the works at MTV. Last week, when the news broke, it was revealed Craven was in talks to helm the pilot.
"A lot of you have asked about the Scream TV series," he said via Twitter. "It's true I've been approached. My response was, it would depend on the script. If they have a great script/concept, it could be fun. If not, not."
This has been his usual response concerning any involvement in the future of the Scream franchise.
The Scream series does not have a writer, nor a locked "concept." We'll see who they bring to the table to write. Hopefully some fresh, enthusiastic blood.
Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley are overseeing development.
