Several pedestrians hit on Las Vegas Boulevard
Twelve people are hurt, including seven who are hospitalized, after a car plowed into a crowd on the Las Vegas Strip.
Police and firefighters say it looks like the driver of a four-door Pontiac sedan with Arizona license plates suffered a medical seizure and passed out behind the wheel.
The vehicle ran up on the curb Wednesday afternoon near Harmon Avenue, between the Harley Davidson restaurant and Planet Hollywood hotel-casino.
The driver is one of the people taken to the hospital. Most of the injuries are said to be moderate to serious. But a fire spokesman says two women have injuries. Northbound Las Vegas Boulevard is closed while police investigate.

News 3 has learned that an elderly man, possibly a diabetic, was driving a blue Pontiac. He drove up onto the sidewalk where as many as 50 people were walking. He plowed into the crowd and people flew up over the windshield. Eight people were transported to hospital. Others were injured and treated on the scene.
Several pedestrians have been hit by a car on Las Vegas Boulevard near Harmon. There are multiple injuries and the Boulevard is completely shut down in the northbound lanes at Harmon. The pedestrians were hit on the sidewalk. It's not yet known what caused the driver to go off the road.
