so what exactly would have been different with andre johnson in the game? schaub would have passed for 700 yards instead of 400? they didn't struggle through the air, plain and simple. if they had, I'd agree it made a difference. it's clear that it didn't. they did what they wanted through the air, but couldn't run the ball and that's why we beat them.

as for mario williams. houstons D held mcfadden to 50 yards on the ground and campbell was getting his bell rung on every other pass play. I'd say they did just fine without him.

this is football, not basketball. it's not like kobe or cp3 being out for a game. both nnamdi and mcfadden missed games last year and we were able to win without them.
That last possession for example your telling me it wouldn't have been easier for schaub to get it into the endzone with Johnson in there. Also most of those yards came from the first half when the momentum was on the Texans side. When Mario was in you guys hadn't got a single first down, I would say that helped out the offense a lot with some good field positioning. Mario in equals.more Campbell incompletions and ints therefore leading to a shorter field for schaub. And its not like you stomped out the Texans. Dont remember the exact score but I do know it was less then a 7 point difference and I gotta think Johnson and Williams account for atleast the 7 point difference. Like I said though props on the w regardless of the circumstances. In the NFL a win is a win.

well if shaughnessy and marcel reece were in. I'd say that's about a 7 point swing too. shaughnessy plays on the qb's blindside for a reason, he's our best defensive end. reece is a match up nightmare for defenses. a full back that runs a 4.3 40, runs routes and catches like a wide receiver(position he played before being converted to full back). we don't even have another full back on the roster, manesa tonga had to be signed from the practice squad. hue loves reece and has devoted a good part of our offensive strategy to him.

Mario Williams Andre Johnson>>>Reece shaugnessy

Like I said before I felt a raider fan nit picked at our wins earlier so I did the same to prove a point. I could care less how the raiders go about winning their games. It has a zero affect on my squad unless you're playing someone in our division. So according to you with shaunessy(sp?) Reece you guys would've won by 14 I beg to differ.

you're math is off, we won by 5. so that would be 12 with shaughnessy and reece. I'd say at the very least, we would have got another field goal with them in. that would put the lead at 8.

we played the texans last year too and andre johnson was out for that one as well. we lost because arian foster ran for 133 yards on 17 carries(7 ypc). stopping the run was the difference this time.

15.6 (2nd) Points allowed/gm 17.8 (t-4th)
340.8 (13th) Total Defense 339.2 (12th)
76.4 (t-4th) Rushing Defense 114.8 (18th)

8 (3rd) Interceptions 7 (t-4th)
+10 (2nd) Turnover Differential +7 (t-3rd)

Should be a good game. I think Lord Fangio needs to dial up some exotic blitz packages to get consistent heavy pressure on Stafford and knock him on his ass throughout the game. We saw a little more of that in the TB game.

Definitely a winnable game if our offensive line can stay consistent. Can't wait.

GO NINERS!

You Niner fans are like a trick in a whore house, happy as fuck. You guys played great football this weekend, but like it has been said, it probably wont happen again. It sucks that you played your best football in week 5. You should have saved that for Decemeber/January. But I guess when you havent been to the playoffs for as long as us it will do that to you. LETS GO DETRIOT!
