I see the Hawks defense totally shutting down the 9ers this game, allowing only 3 points.

Damn man nice call! I expected the Hawks to shut down the niners offense, but didn't expect Seattle's to play so well. I was thinking it was gonna be something like a 10 - 3 Seattle win.

A lot of people were saying that Seattle should have won by more considering how many mistakes the 9ers made, but they don't understand Holmgren's style of get a head and play super conservative.

Exactly. The Hawks are not a team that has ever blown a lot of people out. Even though I bet their point differential in the league the last 5 years is one of the top 6 or 7, that's b/c of their win-loss record (which is #1 in the NFC, #4 overall I believe). But they win a lot of games by 10-13 points, just not many by more than that.

All coaches will do that to some degree, but Holmgren more so.

the last time we fucked somebody up real bad was Monday night football against the eagles a few years ago, 45-0 i believe. but youre right about sittin on a lead. the downside to that is Sean "Pussyfoot" Alexander never seems to get the 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1, so sometimes its hard to sit on a lead and grind out first downs.

Yep I agree with most of what you said, my single biggest concern for this football team right now is 3rd & 1, it just isn't as automatic as it needs to be. Every now and then you'll get stuffed, it's inevitable, but they really need to be around 85% in that situation and right now I bet they're below that (I wish I had that info).

I don't think it's Shaun's fault though, it's the blocking in those situations.
