In the Smith is a bust thread you were talking about how teams just stack the box and make him try to beat you. What makes you think Seattle won’t do the same? He’s been terrible this year…why is this the game he turns it around?

I just feel even if they do stack the box they won't be able to stop Gore. They know they gotta win so I think they'll come through.

Exactly! You've understood what I was trying to say. The Niners know this is a big game even though it's early in the season. This win (if they get it) will put them on top of the NFC West with a 3-0 lead...

They (the Niners) know they gotta get Gore running. I think they'll accomplish their goal... plus the Niner D is better this year. I don't think Seattle will win this game this Sunday. I'd put my money on the Niners taking this game.

100 yards a game and the best runningback they've had to face was Edge.. Gore > everyone they've faced so far. And the game against Arizona was his first game back, the line gave no holes, the playcalling was horrible, etc..

Just one huh? Last time I checked, runningbacks weren't supposed to have ANY big runs. The fact is Gore had 81 yards and TWO TOUCHDOWNS. But again, the line gave no holes, the playcalling was ass, etc..

I know there's a chance that the line won't open any holes and the playcalling will suck balls against Seattle too, but your guys have had minimal success against Gore. 212 and 140+ the last two times they saw him. On top of that, Gore is pissed and wants to take out his frustration on the Seahawks, he said it himself.. I have a good feeling he will get back on track this week.

THis makes no sense. Marcus Allen scored a SHITLOAD od TD's inhis life. How many games did he have a few carries and a bunch of TD"s? Cus they would give him the ball inside the 5 yard line...that means SOMETHING...but it doesnt mean he is a great BACK for that. Many people in the league can scoree a TD from a yard out.

Gore ran good against ALOT of teams last year...so thats a moot point. What did he do against the Rams and Cards last year? He had 9 100 yard rushing games last year, and only two came against the Hawks.

Gore is avergaing LESS than 3.5 yards a carry

Gore has faced two POOR run defenses, and one GOOD run defense. All three he has been virtually shut down.

Yet, this whole idea that becuase he ran great against a team LAST year, then it will repeat. This goes along with ALOT of 9er mentality that really sickens me. "We have 4 championships, so we are the best ever and will beat every team.":ermm:

Did you even watch this game? The Niners didn't even make an attempt to open up the offense until last week. I'm hoping they will continue to try and open things up, and if they do then Gore will get his chance to run. The first two games that you speak of are games when the Niners were playing conservative offense and Hostler didn't even seem to get off page 1 of the playbook. Last week they did some things to get the passing game going and I just happen to think they will continue to do that, and if they do then Gore will not be the sole focus of the Seahawk defense like he was against STL and Arizona.

Also, "ripping off" big runs are what Frank Gore does.
