WEC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT:
-Paulo Filho vs. Joe Doerksen

Round 1 – The fighters circled early without landing any solid shots. Doerksen defended a single leg takedown against the cage. After some circling again, Paulo eventually took Joe down, landing in his rubber guard. Doerksen was able to butterfly sweep back up to his feet. Less than two minutes left in the round, Filho landed a left hook that rocked Doerksen. Filho landed multiple unanswered punches forcing referee John McCarthy to halt the fight. Paulo Filho claims the vacant WEC Middleweight belt.

paulo is not part of black house he is still with BTT.

This was a pretty solid event, even tho I hate that hardrock arena.

Paulo looked pretty good, not the best that I've seen from him. I still think Anderson would hurt him on the feet before Paulo could even attempt a takedown.

Condit looks like a solid fighter Ive never seen much from him before this event. He throws some nice thai kicks and properly steps in 45 degrees with his lead foot which most MMA fighters neglect to do. That armbar was vicious...
