Wrong! I'm independent as they come and I won't lie and say I'm ballin', but I got distribution on my own and do have an artist in Best Buy on top of digital. 10,000? LOL! The distributor doesn't ask you for that many & yes you can do it on your own!

Also, unless you're a name artist with a history of solid sales or a huge buzz, no distributor is gonna pay you shit up front. If anything, they'd cover some expenses like studio, promo, manufacturing, etc. and they'd charge it back as a recoupable expense.

I don't have a distribution deal, but I've cut out the middle man and getting the product out there myself. Talking to the corporates myself and getting in there on my own. I see every penny that runs through.

About the 10,000 copies I haven't seen anybody do that in a long time, your right, Bro. ..but who'd really want to these days? At least not in the independent field.

You can do it on your own and not be suckered by these scams. That's what a lot of these scammers want you to believe. Be professional and change up the lingo when you speak to the corporates. It's a business world and the street shit does nothing for your there. It's money and believing on ones product.

I'm taking it back to the basics. If all goes as planned, the day a major distributor approaches me I hit em' with, "What can you do for me, that I'm not doing already? Show me some money and we can work something out."

We're back to 100% independent like Master P, Ca$h Money etc. before the distributor stepped in. Until then, I'm building my catalog.

I'm posting this because I failed to mention this earlier (3 days ago). I was getting complaints that the site was lagging and running very slow at times.

First thing I did was backup the forum database and upgrade the forum script from vb 3.8.4 to vb 3.8.6 which has an important security patch and we were at risk of being hacked. Unfortunately this forced me to disable the "Hide Hack" plug-in which came with the "thank you/props" feature.

Once I upgraded the forum I re-enabled the Hide hack feature. It instantly gave me errors so I had to disable it again. I looked into the problem and found out the guys who made the hide hack script are no longer in business and a new version/upgrade is never coming out.

I found a new solution, but it will take me about a week to get it going, but I promise the props will be back with more features along with it.......................

Now, The worlds longest thread is a great idea and I am all for it, but.... We may have to close it because it is causing issues and making the site lag. So I'm letting you know now and you can't get mad if that thread is closed in the near future. I will keep it alive and not delete it if that is what you are wondering.

So, on behalf of the other admins of siccness I apologize and I had no idea you guys cared that much about that little prop button that nobody liked when I first added it. I hope this makes up for my overlooking your opinion.
