QB-turned-RB Robinson hits like a LB

I'm completely convinced RB Michael Robinson could be a linebacker in the NFL, if that's what he wanted to do. His hit on Eagles safety Brian Dawkins at the goal line was something to see.

"The time before Brian stepped up there and put his head right on Frank's thigh and stopped him," coach Mike Nolan said. "I know Michael Robinson well enough to know that he watched that play. He knew the play that Frank ran, so when he went in and he had the same play called, I'm sure in his mind to some degree he was thinking, 'I saw it the last time. I saw what he did. I'll get him.' He won that battle."

It's still hard to believe Robinson played QB at Penn State last season, leading them to a No. 3 national ranking. Robinson is credited around Penn State for setting the tone for the entire season with his hit on Minnesota SS Brandon Owens, who was a promising player.

The hit was violent. So violent, in fact, that Owens will never play football again. He missed the remainder of last season. He reportedly had surgery in January and still wears a sling.

Beware, this film clip is not for the faint of heart. If you want to look at Michael
