I DONT KNOW.. IT COULD HAPPEN. SABEAN ALSO LIKES TO KEEP EVERYTHING QUIET SO WHEN IT HAPPENS EVERYONES SHOCKED....I KNOW THESE ARENT BIG NAMES BUT REMEMBER LAST YEAR WHEN, UNEXPECTEDLY, HE SIGNS ALFONZO, PEREZ, CRUZ JR., DURHAM, GRISSOM, ETC. ALL AT ONCE NO ONE WOULD OF THOUGHT. THEY COULD BE YELLIN OUT THAT THERE BROKE, BUT WHEN VLAD IS SIGNED (KNOCK ON WOOD), EVERYONE WILL BE SHOCKED INCLUDING BALTIMORE AND THE REST OF THE EAST COAST TEAMS. this thought is just a rumor, so we shouldnt keep our hopes up.

The only teams sounds like we got to worry about who got the money to spend on Vald is Baltimore and those dam Dodgers. I am going to be really mad if those bastards get him. He wants to play for Felipe though that is our Ace in the hole. Thanks god we got coaches players want to play for. Dusty is the same way he is a player's manager.

Hate to break it to you guys the giants aint getting guerrero. I guess McGowan needs 2000 straight sell outs before he can do that. Two years ago McGowan said they were 2 million over budget so they traded Russ Ortiz (would have won WS this year if they had him). Now this year when they have a ton of money to spend McGowan decides to drop payroll $10 million. They ain't getting anyone. It always been the giants way to say "we have bonds and you dont so we are gonna surround him with some chumps in the outfield and still win". Instead of spending $12 million on 5 utility players they need to spend that on 1 superstar to protect bonds and then you will really see the madness, with vlad in the lineup bonds would bat .380 with 60+ homers and 160 rbi's.

I doubt Vlad's going to Baltimore, they already spent too much money on Miggy and Lopez... its probably going to be between the Giants and Dodgers (If they dont get Nomar)

Im just waiting patiently for Tracy to announce the Cubs signing of Pudge and then the seasons a lock...

Vlad is going to go to an American Leauge East Coast team...where all of the media hype is.
vlad said he dont want to be the main focus of what ever team he plays on.. so the only way that will happen is if he plays in frisco with the greatest of all time... mr bonds..

i also heard a rumor the giants might trade for ken griffey junior... no bull shit.. what yall think????

^^ There's no possible way that would happen, unless they used him strictly for pinch hitting, but he's still pronly get hurt... Griff's done, no one's gonna go after him anymore after what he's done in Cincy...

lmao @ Shadow, ya I heard they're gonna let Bartman play Left field... I cant wait till the Harry Carey bar burns that fucking ball...

update::

The Baltimore Sun reported executive VP Mike Flanagan spoke to Vladimir Guerrero's representatives twice during the weekend. The newspaper said the Orioles believed they had the most enticing offer on the table for Guerrero -- Flanagan wouldn't confirm whether it had been modified -- and they were trying to persuade him to visit Baltimore.

update::

The Seattle Times reported the Mariners were trying to sign free-agent shortstop Rich Aurilia but that would require trading Carlos Guillen. Times sources said Seattle could be working on a deal that would send Guillen to Colorado. If successful in those moves, Seattle could still be in the market for a veteran infielder off the bench, such as free agents Denny Hocking or Damian Jackson.

yeah do you know how much money Baltimore has to spend??? Shit their still trying to sign Ponson also, why do you think they have sucked the past 3 seasons??? they been waiting for this off-season since for a while + the owners in Baltimore got MAJOR loot & aint afraid to spend it (shit they still paying Albert Belle so that should tell you something), besides Guerrero is the main piece & their main concern they been eyeing him since 2 seasons ago when it became clear he wasnt gonna signed with Montreal....................

I dont know about ya'll but I think the orioles are gonna end up like a few years ago when they spent a lot of money and still couldnt win.

and

maybe its the die hard Giants fan in me typing but I think the Giants aint dumb enough to let Bonds contract run out without doing everything possible to win it all. once bonds retires they will have all the time in the world to cut payroll and pay off the park. the fact is their best chance of winning is now with Bonds. I truly believe that they are doing everything in their power to sign not only vlad, but greg maddux also.

As far as "big cities" go SF is a small ass city. It's possible that SF is the smallest "Big City" in the country.

Barry Bonds will test positive for steroids (he's been dodging steroid tests for years).

Don't expect shit from the Giants.
