Shit, it gained him national exposure and helped create most of his early fan base. It can't be that horrible of a song.

I'd say it's really ICYROC, the last time I talked to him, he said that music would never see the light of day, unless he and Tech only worked something out for it, and Tech has been really busy, so I guess it got to see the light of the fireplace.

I am not sure, not until Tech was a little more well known. ICYROC could have released the songs and re-released them just like Diamond and Don Juan did CBTS and THE WORST, but I believe his motive is more principal driven than anything.
