The Vikings have signed former wrestling star Brock Lesnar to play defensive tackle, pending a physical. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports head coach Mike Tice made the decision following Lesnar's second workout with the team, which took place Tuesday morning. "I'm excited. All I ask for is the opportunity, and he's given me that," said Lesnar, who has not played football since high school. Lesnar was the NCAA heavyweight wrestling champion at the University of Minnesota and the youngest heavyweight champion in WWE history.

Lesnar will probably land on the Vikings' practice squad because of his lack of experience. What he does not lack is physical talent, as anyone who has seen the 6-3, 286-pound beast run a 4.65 in the 40 can attest. We'll also bet the Lesnar jersey sales go through the roof.
