chill you trippin bruh...

Rakim was the man of his time and Ya Boy is not, no where near, and probably wont be the man of his time

you're comparing 2008 style against their 80's style which is like sayin me vs. you cuz ur older than i am but im comparing them for what they are...

if rakim dropped i aint no joke this summer it would get no run. if ya boy dropped that 100 bars back then he would have been the new nwa. i feel where chill is coming from. unfortunately in 2008 there is a myspace, plus 1000 record labels, and mtv and bet and its crabs in a bucket. hard to get respect when everyone wants the few bright spots in the game. where as rakim dropped when there was like 50 or less rappers in the industry makin moves.

its kinda apples and oranges but i see where gas and chill were both going.

i see what you sayin reb.if that was the case yes rakim kills yaboy because just like dutch said.their was no internet, myspace or nothing like that back then the only way to see what the rappers look like was album covers or stay up hella late night to hopefully see their video on the max headroom show...lol...yall remember that?people would say rakim was a average mc if he would have came out with "i aint no joke" in 2008.people need to understand the impact it had for the time it was released.thats like LL COOL J droppin "IM BAD" in 2008....lol...back them that song was fuckin crazy when it dropped.now its a just classic and all you can do is reminisce and remember the impact it had at that time.

i think rakim created his style. and for the style everyone else was using, he was ahead of everyone. nothing about ya boy is any different than any other mixtape rapper using punchlines.

we havent even had a rapper that has had that much effect on the rapping game as a whole in a long time. the only person i can really think of who was like that was maybe chino xl back in the day, or ras kass when people really thought he was the 'king of the west'

kurupt in his prime or something or a keak or e40 in the bay ...brotha lynch is definately a good one..i dunno but i dont think yaboy had the effect lyrically on the game rakim has but yeah sure if we compared them now, im sure yaboy will write a more lyrical verse, i dont think rakim is even trying to prove a buncha lyrical shit anymore.

but back then, all that 5% talk in his rhyme,, that was some scientific shit back then. this is a decade plus after wu made the 5% think mainstream as all hell..

and i still hear rakim how i used to hear him, so lyrically hes better, hes just a simple rapper who might say some shit that goes over your head sometimes

and there is complexiy in rhyming simple, but for the most part i just think

yaboy is like any other mixtape rapper and cant be compared to anyone whos done something to change the face of lyrics. i think if in ten years lrics have gotten even more complex that dosent take away from tupacs legacy as a lyricist even if in 2021 or some shit his shit is looked at simple as fuck...

i guess theres a difference between looking at the two currently, than looking at them seperately..

why do you give a fuck what im doing on the internet?

do you have kids? tend to them

dont worry about what the fuck i'm doing. worry about yourself and your family, this is just words on a screen.

if i feel like overanalyzing ya boys placement in the rap world thats what imma do. and youre gonna do little but sit on the sideline and go "gas why you ____???"

forreal, either jump in the topic or dont..but im not in a interview my nigga..so stick to the subject

thank you kindly, dutch

i dont have to explain to you what i think is hot in 2008. thats a waste of my time. how many times have you been on the internet, and you give your opinion on some shit and someone dosent agree. big fucking deal. its not worth me writing a list of people who i think is better than yaboy, i just dont agree hes any good.

if you think ya boy is good, great. thats good for you and i hope you enjoy his music. but that has no effect on what i think.

as far as my art, you could think i suck. why does that matter to me? its just an opinion. someone may like my shit, someone may not. art isnt for everyone.

i never said i was "hella hard" but ill tell you what colombo, im writing on shit in public not riding motorcycles doin wheelies homie....in your city much less ..not just your city j colombo but your nieghborhood...(700 miles away from home) ...so its not about me man i do what i do but i dont gotta be hard to have an opinion or tell you how it is...

now as far as saying ya boy is better than rakim lyrically? that is ridiculous and i will argue that

if someone said lil boosie was better than e-40 i'd argue that too

edit: and j colombo you of all people need to stop it my nigga...you scheduled a fucking fight against a imaginary internet alias next to marine world...and you gonna say some "you aint hard so stop it"...dude no

chill with that. i aint tryna call you out but cmon man lets get along here.
