Ya Boy has got bars no doubt. Stop hating.

And Clyde is one of my absolute favorites from the Bay. He's got flow for real, but lyrically? Ya Boy has got him. In terms of swag and style I take Clyde.

I need both my boys to bring it home for the bay.

you just called this nigga Rakim tho...thats hella disrespectful

and you being older than i should kno that he's no where near Rakim...

when it comes down to it Locksmith, Clyde Carson, shit even lil Taji can put words together on the same level as ya boy. he's raw no doubt but damn Rakim was the wrong comparison
if you put Ya boy songs up against any rakim song,Ya boy will lyrically eat any Rakim song.Rakim lyrics was amazing for the time he did them in but its 2008 and its ALOT of mcs eating that old Rakim style and lyrics up now.if you could take Ya Boy back to 1987 and put him against Rakim...lol...hell make Rakim look like a damn fool.now if you brought the old rakim to 2008 and put him against Ya Boy Rakim will still look like a damn fool.i said ya boy was the UPDATED BAY AREA VERSION OF RAKIM because thats just what he is.a rapped out super mc with amazing word play.i heard locksmith, clyde, and taji, they got spits no doubt but Ya boy is simply shines a little bit brighter when it comes to constructing lyrics and wordplay.

if you put Ya boy songs up against any rakim song,Ya boy will lyrically eat any Rakim song.

wow.

okay, put i aint no joke against anything ya boy ever put out.

I ain't no joke, I use to let the mic smoke
Now I slam it when I'm done and make sure it's broke
When i'm gone no one gets on cuz I won't let
Nobody press up and mess up the seen I set
I like to stand in a crowd and watch the people wonder damn
But think about it then you'll understand
I'm just an addict addicted to music
Maybe it's a habit, I gotta use it
Even if it's jazz or the quiet storm
I hook a beat up convert it into hip-hop form
Write a rhyme in graffitti in every show you see me in
Deep concentration, cuz I'm no comedian
Jokers are wild if you wanna be tamed
I treat you like a child then you're gonna be named
Another enemy, not even a friend of me
Cuz you'll get fried in the end when you pretend to be
Competin' cuz I just put your mind on pause
and I complete when - you compare my rhyme wit yours
I wake you up and as I stare in your face you seem stunned
Remember me, the one you got your idea from
But soon you start to suffer, the tune'll get rougher
When you start to stutter that's when you had enuff of
Biting, it'll make you choke, you can't provoke
You can't cope, you should've broke because I ain't no joke

I got a question, as serious as cancer
Who can keep the average dancer
Hyper as a heart attack nobody smiling
Cuz you're expressing the rhyme that I'm styling
This is what we all sit down to write
You can't make it so you take it home, break it and bite
Use pieces and bits of all the hip-hop hits
Get the style down pat then it's time to switch
Put my tape on pause and add some more to yours
Then you fake it you're ready for the neighborhood chores
The E-M-C-E-E don't even try to be
When you come up to speak, don't even lie to me
You like to exaggerate, dream and imaginate
Then change the rhyme around, that can aggravate me
So when you see me come up, freeze
Or you'll be one of those 7 MC's
They think that I'm a new jack but only if they knew that
They who think wrong are they who can't do that
Style that I'm doing, they might ruin
Patterns and paragraphs based on you and
Your offbeat DJ, if anything he play
Sound familiar, I'll wait til E say
Play 'em, so I'ma have to diss and bro
You could get a smack for this, I ain't no joke

I hold the microphone like a grudge
B'll hold the record so the needle don't budge
I hold a conversation cuz when I invent
I nominated my DJ to president
When I'm see I'll, keep a freestyle, going steadily
So pucker up and whistle my melody
But whatever you do, don't miss one
They'll be another rough rhyme after this one
Before you know it, you're following and fiending
Waiting for the punchline to get the meaning
Like before the middle of my story I'm telling
Nobody beats the R so stop yelling
Save it, put it in your pocket for later
Cuz I'm moving the crowd and B'll wreck the fader
No interruptions til the mic is broke
When I'm gone, then you can joke
Cuz everything is real on a serious tip
Keep playing and I varies quick
And take you for a walk through hell
Freeze your dome then watch your eyeballs swell
Guide you out of triple stage darkness
When it get dark again then I'ma spark this
Microphone cuz the heat is on, you see smoke
then I finish when the beat is gone, I'm no joke

now you go ahead and post the ya boy verse you think came harder than that. make sure you go ahead and actually watch the video after, to hear the lyrics.

ya boy better than rakim WOW.

im not comparing him to shit..i dont even think ya boy is tight so i cant compare him to anyone i think is good really...i dont even know where that started..maybe a page back or somethin... all i saw was someone say that ya boy lyrically kills rakim and i posted lyrics to the first rakim song i could think of, and that proved that wrong..end of story really

ya boy 100 bars of death

rakim i aint no joke

lmao ... c,mon man...yaboy "100 bars of death" lyrically eats up "i aint no joke" in 2008.

i appreciate "i aint no joke" as a classic song but lets get real. LYRICALLY "100 bars of death" rips i aint no joke to pieces.i understand Rakim is a legend but times have changed and mcs has gotten a lot more lyrical since i aint no joke days.this is like sugar ray leonard vs floyd mayweather if they got in a ring or the first nintendo vs xbox360 right now....lol....i respect a classic for what it was at that time.

back just to clear this up...

i dont know what you think when i say lyrically but i mean a artist that says lyric after lyric and puts about seven or eight lyrics in two bars and make that shit sound good.rakin was puttin about 3 lyrics in two bars at the most.its 2008 and these new mcs are killing that old school two bar rhyme scheme mcs use to do.

now find a song where rakim old school rhyme scheme matches that criteria.
