becuase bioshock is more original, submersive then the other 3rd and 4th installments in those series that you mention. and if you played bioshock there is no doubt that it was game of the year. very well put together game.

^^ agreed.. its not like your typical shooter/rpg.. and theres so much detail in the game.. like you literally have to look everywhere in the game for hidden stuff.
